30mbar 8mm Straight Caravan and Motorhome Regulator (1074)

Replacement for my existing regulator on caravan, not a standard fitting but all we had to do was drill a couple of new mounting holes. The pipe fittings were the same so it was a case of removing old regulator and fitting new one. Be warned, do a leak check with soapy water after fitting and if there is a leak you might end up cutting off original olive and the end of the pipe which makes the job more awkward.

Ideal replacement for Truma regulator

I bought this to fit into a motorhome. I have to use 8mm fittings because of the other pipes so this seemed a reasonable part at a reasonable price. The outlet fitting has a non-standard compression fitting that won't take 8mm soft copper with reinforcement. You need to use hard pipe. Back to that is a non-standard compression fitting in the outlet: Cavagna don't offer this as a spare so you have to get it right first time or throw away the regulator and start again. It's sealed now but I nearly threw it away. If you have used one before, go ahead: if not, find something more standard.

As good as the origonal at half the cost . Very easy diy job.

After experiencing low pressure on the cooker and space heater , the old Truma regulator stopped working altogether.Having researched further this is a fairly common fault so I decided to purchase this much cheaper product .Although nearly half the price of the Truma this unit came with rave reviews .It was a really simple swap and works perfectly , so I'm one happy camper !
