3MPro Grade Precision Ultra Flexible Block Sanding Sponge, 4.5 x 2.5 x 1-Inch, 220-Grit, X-Fine

I used the 3M Pro Grade Precision Dust Channelling Sanding Sponge for a recent project and found it somewhat lacking. While the 180 grit size is fine for detailed work, the sponge didn't hold up as well as I'd hoped, showing wear rather quickly. The concept of dust channelling is innovative, but in practice, it doesn't significantly outperform cheaper alternatives. For its price, I expected a more durable and efficient sanding experience. It's an okay product but doesn't offer the best value for money.

I bought this to smooth the holes I filled in before painting and it did a very poor job. I had to scrape quite a bit and I still see the mark.I would not recommend it. There might be cheaper ones out there, even though they don't have the name 3M

Clearly says 12/pce in title but only 1 supplied. Does say this further down in specification.

4 quid for a sanding block claiming to be of a very long lifespan. Nope. It is basically just a half sheet of sandpaper on a Foam block that was knackered in half an hour…. Annoyed at myself for falling for the hype

Waste of money, fell apart within an hour of sanding, none of the edges made any difference. Ended up buying an electric sander instead for £22 which got the job done in half the time and less effort. Save your money:

Attention, titre trompeur, (lot de 12 eponges) il n'y en a qu'une. Sinon eponge de bonne qualité, répond aux attentes.

Ideal um seinem bearbeiteten Holz einen feinen Schliff zu geben.

I posted a review for the 3M All Purpose Sanding Sponges, comparing them to this one, so it makes sense to add something here.I bought 2 six-panel clear pine doors that I wanted to sand before priming. I went through 2 of the All Purpose sponges before giving up on them and running to the hardware store to get one of these for the 2nd door. These did a great job and were very durable. You can see in the picture how it looked after sanding one door, versus the 2 to the right of it after use on the other door. The All Purpose sponges would break apart when encountering any non-flat surface, and this one held up nicely, easily handling the panels and contours in the doors.The 3rd sponge in the picture (below the package) was used to sand some primer, which is why its a bit white. I didn't wash any of the sponges before taking the picture.

Cheaper to buy here on Amazon than in stores. Good value and and easy to use and comfortable to hold
