Darfords are up there with the very best spray can nitro finishes. They have really good opacity and go on very nicely. The cans don't splutter and the nozzles can be rotated. I dig Dartfords colours a lot! They are very attractive. After many years of using nitro to finish guitars and basses, experience teaches that patience and great surface preparation are the key to a lovely finish. I tend to use another brand for primer coats (out of habit really) but my preferred brand for colour coats and for top-coat gloss is usually Dartfords.

The colour was exactly what I was after, and it applied like a dream. Very quick drying and allowed me to build up the coats to get the perfect finish I was looking for. Highly recommended!

We love a bit of lake placid blue, dartfords really hit the nail on the head with this blend. It applies nicely, the colour and metallic look are EXACTLY what I was after, and the nitro has since worn down in a very pretty way. An excellent way of breathing life into an old guitar body and really beginner friendly for new guitar builders. Please ALWAYS wear a mask and only spray in well ventilated places, you dont want nitro paint in your lungs.

Great coverage and a powerful spray, the colour builds up quickly, and wet to tack in no time. I covered a guitar body and neck, multiple coats, with two cans and it looks super.
