Awesome 60's Stratocaster. Buy This Guitar. Dont even hesitate!
This guitar here is no joke. Beautiful finish in nitro. The pick ups in it are awesome. Ive bought '59s Pure Vintage for it thinking ok first thing to change but been hesitant to do it just yet. Setup from factory was spot on. Tune up and play. The vintage radius neck isnt a bother got used to it right away. So that's the good part heres the not so great. Bridge is a high mass but is zinc. Easy change though. The tint on the neck is a lil orange but not real bad. Being nitro it should darken very nicely with age. Other then that straight out of the box then its right back into the 60's. It includes a tweed case. Its the pro model not a vintage model. Its a nice case and many dont come with any so im happy with that. Again the pickups in this thing are spot on along with the pots they actually taper off the tones and volume pot is very usable too. I haven't opened it up yet (waiting for strings to break) but I'd have to think its got decent CTS pots. 5 way switch works fine. Its either a CRL or Oaks Grisby switch either one is fine quality. If your wanting a good Stratocaster that is a real nitro finish and sounds great as is then this is for you. If your looking for a American Vintage with everything accurate then this isnt your guitar go spend the extra grand for that. This guitar is one heck of a guitar for the money. You will not be sorry you bought it. Yes to answer this question its made in Mexico but very well built. Just to add. Every time I pick it up its hard to put down. It feels awesome and sounds great too. Ive got over 6 Stratocasters and this is becoming my favorite. I have a AVRI 62 and this actually beats it hands down. When I bought it I also bought all the Pure Vintage parts to make it a 62 but I'm reluctant to do it just yet. Ill eventually do it but till I do Ill be rocking in the free world.
