At this price it is difficult to be too critical but if you want to cut tiles accurately and square this is not the tool for you.The end stop was not at 90 degrees and tiles were coming out tapered so grout line runs from narrow one end to wide the other. The effect is a saw blade shaped finished running up the corner of the wall. With some difficulty this problem was sorted by adjusting the end stop but it was reluctant to stay square until I siliconed it into place.Second issue is that the cutting wheel is very sloppy and can waver from left to right if you don't hold the handle square (snooker players should have no problems here).Overall once you get used to it's quirks it will do the job with lighter ceramic tiles but I cannot see it coping with a strong porcelain tile. I did not even try as the rods were already bending alarmingly on a 600mm ceramic.You still end up with the odd duff cut which wastes time and potentially money if you can't use the tile elsewhere.If you want greater accuracy and to work more efficiently, spend a good deal more on a better-quality cutter.

After being encouraged by a friend to 'do it myself' I bought this tile cutter to cut the tiles for my kitchen window ledges. Did the job well enough. I managed to cut the larger tiles I needed and smaller pieces to fill in the gaps. I was very pleased with the results. Some reviews (can't remember if it was this cutter reviews or another) say it doesn't cut straight enough but it does and you have to just remember the cut pieces are placed at the back and sides. The smooth, uncut edge goes at the front. Don't know how long the blade lasts for bigger jobs though. Would definitely recommend from my experience.

Good bit of kit. Works very well. I used it to cut some extremely hard tiles. Toughest tiles I have encountered to date. (Even my electric cutter struggled with these tiles.) This tile cutter did the job very well and it left no mess like the electronic cutter does.

Reasonable quality for the price. The bars flex a little if you apply too much force and the snapping action needs a little help but it does the job, I used it on 10mmm thick porcelain tiles.
