Barenaked Jane Kindle Edition

I opened this book after reading the others in this group. this is the second time I have read this book.... I loved it the first time and don't usually read a book twice. deanna Lee knows how to make you laugh. She puts a lot of effort to write a way you want to be in the characters life. You will find friendship, laughter, romance, detail in sexual content with a believable story line. You can't miss with one of her books.

It took me nearly a year to give in and buy Undressing Mercy and I regret it to this day. That book was wonderful. So purchasing Barenaked Jane I thought this one would be a little more tame.....GUESS AGAIN!! This book is better than Undressing Mercy. I was hooked from the first page and the love scenes are scorching hotttt!!! I could not put this book down. Deanna Lee is officially one of my favorite authors and I will contine to read her material.

I wasn't sure what to expect as this was my first time reading anything by this author. Since the book was marketed as erotica, I was not expecting much of a plot, but I was pleasantly surprised. The novel is the second in a series, and while I wanted to immediately go back and buy the first novel about Jane's boss, Mercy, this book stands well on its own. The characters felt very real, complex but likeable. Jane and Mathias fall into lust at first sight, and then get to know each other. While the romance progressed very quickly, it was really handled well, and didn't feel at all forced. My only complaint would be that Deanna Lee overdoes the sex scenes the first time they get together. Consequently I found myself just skipping the pages during similar scenes in the latter half of the book, because by then I felt that I had already seen them explore all the usual avenues for fulfilment. Nonetheless, the writing was excellent. I felt that the story would have been compelling even without the romance aspect. I look forward to reading her other works...

Im not a big reader of romance novels .. actually I dont really read them at all .... but both the title and the reviews 'piqued' my interest. In this story we get to meet Jane, an ex-cop turned fine art peddler who 'hooks up' with Mattheias the hunky hunky yummie yummie security consultant at the art studio. Even though Jane SAYS she does not like male Alphas, she cerrtainly has no problem getting naked in less than a few hours and spending a solid weekend doing what male Alphas do with women for the whole weekend....As a romance novel I would guess the story rates as the typical bland stuff that should require little thought to enjoy. As erotica the book is even blander since we have VERY conventional sex between two consenting adults..... HOHUMMMM .... Its kinda like real life wich is what Im trying to escape from when I read .....Erotica should in itself have some spice in it becuse it's the 'sin', the forbidden fruit that makes it hot. Also there should be some pursuit, capture and ultimate submission to the naughty naughty act ....
