Easy to install and a perfect replacement for my old fixtures. Very bright but great for my dark basement. I like the white light but some may prefer a more yellow light. Great value.

This recessed light is very bright, the color temperature matches the rest of my lights in my bathroom at 6500k. The fixture is very well designed with cooling fins to dissipate heat. I choose to make a small box above the fixture to prevent insulation contact so the light could stay cooler. The junction box provided seems to be the new improved design that is advertised.

Great value, shipping, easy install. Just what I needed

Well I had high hopes for these lights. I ordered 1 to test to see if I liked them and I installed it (I am an electronic tech so install was a piece of cake). It worked and I loved the brightness so I went and ordered 2 more to replace my aging ceiling lights. Well a few minutes later I went to show someone how good they looked and it failed to turn on.Thinking a wire might have come loose (I am using German made WAGO connectors) I checked and everything was fine. Got out my meter and had 110v at the connectors so I unwired it, took it to my test bench and hooked it to 110v and no go, it was dead.So I have 2 more on the way and Amazon is sending me a replacement. Once they are in I will come back to update this review (good or bad). I will let them run for a week or so before I update the review. Today is 8/27/19.8/31/19 UpdateSo Amazon sent me a replacement and I received the other 2 I ordered and I now have them all installed and working. Man these are bright compared to the incandescent 80w ones that were in my ceiling before.My only issue was that there was a very slight gap between the old hole and the new light (even though the spec measurements are exactly the same). Luckily I have a 3D printer so I printed a bezel to go over the new lights that sticks out 1/4" so as to cover up any gaps (I had to do this on the round lamps I bought as well, my guess is they expect these to be used in new installs instead of retrofits).If I have any issues with these lights in the future I will come back to update this review. For now, I can see my dark hallway like never before.

They don't last very long first set I bought burned the resistors up in 6 months the second set last 2 months they are bright and work great til they don't if the Electrical board was better quality they would be perfect. I bought these to replace a set with similar in size hole in ceiling so I didn't have to cut very much existing ceiling. I bought some different resistors and will try those see if they last. I would have recommended these if it was the first 5 months I had purchased them now that I have re-installed them twice or more I can not.

*updare - Only lasted me a year. Now it's dead.At first, I was concerned cause this replaced a similar light above my kitchen sink and whenever I turned it on there was a noticeable delay. A month later, delay is gone.Light intensity is good. Recommend! Plus the wiring hookups are in a standard metal box - more legit - versus my previous from Amazon that was a china special with a plastic ballast you had to wire.

Renovating a 1978ish house and this light fit perfectly in the original square light opening. Easy to install, looks great, freshens things up.

Worked great for 10 months. Don't even use it much in the basement. Now searching for a replacement.
