Good resource
It's definitely the service manual you want for a Jetta with the 2.8L engine. None of the other manuals (Haynes) cover that engine in this particular model. At least not that I've found.

Good manual covers several models without detriment of one of the other
I'm right into a engine and transmission swap on 02 jetta. I feel confident following step by step as manual instructs .. Sometimes description seems rather vague..but all and all a very good manual.. The other big plus over hanes or Chilton is the paper print itself..clear and crisp.type and photos... The other manuals I've used are sometimes next to impossible to make out photos.

Decent if your engine model is included
It's good for what it is, but doesn't' include the AWP engine.....which is what I needed it for. Also doesn't include the PCV /vacuum system .....another thing I needed it for.

Great book
It has saved me A LOT of money, I'm a do it yourself person, and if I can't do the repair by myself in a weekend or because of the heavy duty machinery needed, at least I can go the shop and talk the same language and with authority with the mechanic. Down here in Mexico City this is very important. Too bad the editorial doesn't have a book like this for more import cars

Nothing better than Bentley Manuals but...
But still nothing compares to iriginal ELSA info. When I bought this book there was no Volkswagen technical information, now its all over internet, still this information sticks more to the OE tech manuals so keep with Bentley info.

Good
Helps me with my DIY car maintenance. I am annoyed by the use of special VW tools in the book which are not necessary.
