Informative and Interesting
This book is one of my daughter's fav animl books, as she wants to become a veterinarian. While she is still unsure of what branch of veterinary medicine she will pursue, she feels as if this book actually prepares students of all veterinary medicine branches, save livestock, to becoming a veterinarian AND what the job is like before and after vet school. She says this books is not only well written, but is furthermore written in a fashion which pulls readers in and makes them want to know more, without getting bogged down with dozens of unneeded technicalities and facts. Overall, seeing that my daughter is a voracious reader, I can say that this book is incredible and perfect for students (she guesses around 10+ years of age is the age range) aspiring to become a veterinarian in ANY field. Thanks for reading. I hope this review was helpful! :D

Interesting and insightful! It is a one of a kind!
I really enjoyed this book. Dr. K discusses the tools you need to be a successful veterinarian. As a veterinarian, I wish someone would have wrote this book 15+ years ago. The reality of what it takes to succeed in this profession extends far beyond the classroom. If you take the time to read this before or during veterinary school, you will have an upper hand. This is a must read for not only those considering veterinary medicine, but established veterinarians as well.I am looking forward to her next book and podcasts.

It gives amazing tips on self-help, emotional stability, and keeping yourself healthy. As a person who is going to school to become a veterinarian, I can say that this truly helped me on my journey.

Passionate read!
I hope my vet has the passion Dr. Kung has! This is a must-read for anyone remotely interested in becoming a doctor of any kind. She writes candidly about the hours, pressure, variability, and stress of the training and the job. But, it's tempered with her love for animals and wanting to help them. It's also an easy read! Very enjoyable!
