Not 17x24
I read through the reviews and noticed a trend of people saying it was small, however many people said it was their fault they didn't take notice of the measurements. I do have a very small toilet/shower area with a rather large hallway leading up towards the tiny toilet area so I figured it would be fine as my current bath mat is exactly 17x24 and fits just perfectly on the floor. When I received it the first thing I noticed was what many reviewers said-it is very small. First I took out my measuring tape and it measures and inch short on each side making it 16x22.5...almost 23. I then placed it on top of the old mat, and yes, it is much smaller, especially on the vertical side. I misunderstood the reviews as people seemed to think it was their fault it was so small b/c again not taking notice of measurements is what I saw at least a few people say. I'd say this ad is very misleading. The measurements are off, it appears small b/c it IS small, running short on both sides. As far as the memory foam goes; I know someone with a La coste memory foam purchased at Marshalls for a steal-about $15-20 and is amazing. The ad states "Luxurious" and the foam feels nothing of the sort. I was hoping it would feel more like memory foam I had used by La Coste. I purchased the zebra print to go with my zebra themed bathroom and the tag on the mat does not say "Townhouse" so I am not sure if it is even from Townhouse, or maybe it has something to do with ordering the zebra print bath mat? I've yet to shower with it as I am on the fence about returning it. Last night I washed my feet in the tub with soap so they'd be squeaky clean in case I decided to return...and I stood on the mat and noticed it did not absorb the water...I toweled off my feet. An hr later the mat was still damp? I'm not sure it's worth shipping and returning a mat worth less than $10, and it does look nice with the rest of my bathroom set so if I do keep it I will hang it after each use. I am frustrated more about the deception of the dimensions than anything else. Someone correct me if I'm wrong-but does anyone actually have a mat that measures 17x24? I believe they are all smaller than advertised, or it could just be the zebra print is off b/c of the black border.

We have bought a ton of the memory foam ones before because we like how soft the are when you step on to ...
I was skeptical to get this since the price was so much lower than the stores but I decided I would give it a try. I bought it to go in our spare bathroom that we don't use that frequently but needed a new bath mat. We have bought a ton of the memory foam ones before because we like how soft the are when you step on to them. This one is no different. It doesn't offer as much padding as some of the other ones do but that isn't a deal breaker especially since you really don't spend that much time standing on it. It does its job, it soaks up the water when exiting the shower and stays in place on the floor. You definitely don't want to step out onto something that is going to go sliding out from under you. It came folding in half and it took a few hours for the fold to completely come out of the mat. There is also a lighter stitch down the center of the mat that was really apparent at first but has been covered up by the mats cushion as time has gone by. I'm glad I took the chance to get this and I will definitely buy more of themIt also arrived way sooner than its expected arrival date which was a huge plus

I Waited 1 Month to Review This
There were so many mixed reviews - around 30 1's, 2's & 3's to about 100 4's & 5's - that I decided to give it a month before writing a review. Well, the month is up and I am thoroughly pleased with my purchases. (I purchased the short one for by the sink and the long one for by the tub.) Maybe a bad batch went out because I haven't had the problems other folks seem to have had; SPECIFICALLY:SHOWS DIRT: Not my experience. I do wash them weekly - I keep the bathroom window open & we live in the desert so sand blows in -but even on the days right before washing, they still look like new.CATCHES LINT; Again, not my experience and we have a white cat who LOVES to lay on these (brown) rugs..POOR CONSTRUCTION: I've washed these 4 or 5 times and no sign of unraveling.SHOWS FOOTPRINTS: Yes, they do - for a minute - but its memory foam so they spring right backTAKES TOO LONG TO DRY: Not my experience, but then we live in the desert so everything dries fast. So, if you want to treat your feet to exquisite cushiony softness, go for it.

I should have known better. Sometimes
Listen, I'm going to be honest. I should have known better. Sometimes, I buy really, really cheap stuff and I get really lucky. This wasn't one of those times. I bought a "memory foam" rug from Costco a few years ago. I LOVE it so much that I think I need enough cover the flooring on my entire apartment. Problem is, I can't find them at Costco anymore and they are WAY too expensive in stores and I'm WAY too cheap. I read the reviews, and against my better judgement, still decided to give it a try.Okay - DON'T.First off, I opened the packaged and it had the oddest smell. I order a lot of cheap stuff off Amazon, I'd say about 90% of that cheap stuff comes from China (like this). But I've never had one smell so... weird. It also had this weird hair fuzz on it (I'm guessing from other products it probably touched in storage/packaging/whatever). Second off, I was pretty disappointed the moment I opened the package because they just FELT thin, and not what I wanted at all. But they were so damn cheap, I decided I'd toss them in my washer and give it a go. Well, they don't smell funny anymore and they look clean, so that's a plus; but the stitching more or less kind of fell out. It was clearly decorative; I guess, because they didn't instantly fall apart. But they definitely don't feel any nicer. I did order two (because, why not?). I was planning to put one in from my shower and one in front of my sink. I read they were extremely small in size, so they'd be perfect for our tiny apartment bathroom. They are bigger than I had expected. On a plus note, if I stack them on top of each other and step on both of them at the same time, they kind of feel nice.Oh well. At least I only paid like 8$ for both of them. :\
