Extra Strength(1) Vitamin C with Bioflavonoids, Supports Immune Health*, Promotes Collagen Production for Healthy Skin*, 1,000 mg per Capsule, 250 Vegan Capsules (Packaging May Vary)

A good basic form of Vitamin C which is something we can't make ourselves. Easy to swallow, and 1000 mg is nice daily dose. I've been taking large doses of Vit C for years now, and even if I do get a cold or the flu, it doesn't last very long and there is some belief that Vit C can prevent cancer. At this price, what do we have to lose taking vit c?

Nature's Way produces a quality vitamin C from plant sources. Note that irrespective of what the FDA says to the contrary, ascorbic acid is NOT vitamin C. It is but a component of vitamin C. You should be getting your vitamin C from sources such as ascerola cherries. In-vitro studies and clinical trials have suggested that vitamin C as provided by companies like Nature's Way (that is a complete vitamin C and not just ascorbic acid) is at least 10 times more effective than isolated ascorbic acid. In addition, ascorbic acid has been shown to encourage growth of some lines of cancer cells where complete forms of vitamin C have been shown to aid in the destruction of such cells (or have no effect for some lines).

This is a good brand of supplement. They are third party tested by a lab in Canada for purity. I have trouble swallowing some of the Vitamin C pills because they are large. I like these a lot because they are capsules and much easier to swallow. They also do not upset my stomach. I have taken many courses on vitamins and supplements and many brands are not worth your money. This is one of the low end price brands that is quality.

Vitamin C is great for immune system. This one has no burping or after taste like some vitamin C does. Easy to swallow! I love it in 1,000 mg strength!

I have ordered this at least 5 times in the recent past. What I received is only half strength of what I normally receive and of what is pictured in the ad. Previous bottles listed the serving size for 1g as one capsule. The pictures in the ad show the "extra strength" label and the serving size is stated as one capsule to receive 1g Vitamin C. But when received, the bottle does NOT say "extra strength" and the serving size for 1g is now 2 capsules. Very disappointed. They switched it on me and charged me for the more potent item. I will be looking for another brand and supplier from now on.

Seems to be a good quality vitamin C at a reasonable price.

I purchase this product each fall for cold season. These do not upset stomach from harsh acids like other vitamin C products do. Thank you for this easy to swallow capsule, coating on it makes the swallow easy.

If I had to name a handful of vitamins that were essential and responsible for my health streak (maybe one cold in the last 5-6 years) This product would make the list, no doubts about it. It upsets me when I hear people say that vitamin C has no/minimal benefits when I’ve been taking it for so many years, experienced so many stressful life events that could’ve triggered an immune system hiccup, and nonetheless kept going on physically healthy as ever. The bioflavonoids help make the vitamin more effective and for the price- you really can’t beat it. 250 capsules for 20 bucks? Sign me up. Do your research, of course, but in my experience, I can’t say one negative thing about vitamin c.
