Doc McStuffins: Run-Down Racecar Paperback – January 8, 2013

My daughter loves Doc McStuffins. As a parent, I love her too! She's smart, polite and caring. If you have a fan in your house, these books are a great supplement to the show. They mirror the shows, and you can never go wrong when kiddos are reading!Run-Down Racecar features Ricardo Racecar, the fastest race car in the world! When he suddenly can't finish a race, Donnie has a meltdown. Doc and Dad realize that Ricardo and Donnie both need to recharge their batteries - with a charging station and a nap! The lesson of this book and episode teaches that napping can help when you're out of energy.The illustrations are great and are true to the characters in the cartoon.Kids of all ages would enjoy hearing this story. The reading level is probably ages 5-7. My kindergartener is starting to read most of the words in these books.Highly recommend this and all Doc McStuffins books!

We bought this book for our two daughters (ages 3 and 5) who are big Doc McStuffins fans. The story is great and follows along with the structure of the TV Show, complete with an entry in the Big Book of Boo Boos. The art looks great, and the story is very cute with an emphasis on how it is important to get enough sleep. They make a comparison about how your body gets tired just like a toy car's batteries run down and need a recharge. A simple concept which allows young kids to follow along. It also make it a great bedtime book. I especially like how the inside front cover has a "Meet The Gang" section with a brief description of each character and the inside back cover has a bullet point list of "Doc's Tips for Recharging Your Batteries". A very well put together book. Highly Recommended.

These Doc paperback books are pretty much exactly what you expect. They lay out the cartoon episode pretty much verbatim in a book format. There are quite a few words, which is nice and the illustrations are just screenshots from the show. Good books for our Doc fan. We plan on continuing to get others as they come out.

The book/story itself are great. So why did I give it 3 stars? I purchased the kindle edition, but when trying to read the book on my iphone, the formatting is weird and you cannot see the pages correctly. The book is mostly still readable, but kids like the pictures- and half of the are cut off!

My children love Doc McStuffins! This book is an easy read for my Preschooler.They love watching the TV shows and what a wonderful way for them to continue to enhance their learning!

Cute book for the money. It is a little on the flimsy side so would recommend for older kids that won't rip the pages.

This is definitely a read-along with an adult book. My daughter loves this episode, but the sentences are not something she could read alone. (Not like an easy reader). It's high interest, but be prepared to read along unless your child is a strong reader.

This was bought for a little friend for her birthday, after her falling in love with Doc McStuffins on a recent trip to Disneyland. She was delighted with the gift and was lookinng forward to watching it whenever she wanted to!

Good story but unfortunately the paper quality isn't very good and the spin of the book is like when you fold a piece of paper over. Not good for a toddler trying to hold the book as the pages might rip easily

My daughter loves this book and reads it herself now at the age of 5. Very good quality book and great covering as it can be wiped with a damp cloth for those sticky fingered children

This is a great value book which I know my daughter will love. It is an excellent book if your child loves the programme. Very pleased.
