The battery installs and works well. However, HP's maintenance utilities recognize that the battery is not from HP and will not test the installed battery to determine its condition. Given the age of my PC, I am disappointed that HP is still trying to force the purchase of their hardware. After all, the only way to buy a genuine HP battery is by going to an authorized repair business.

This was good no issues easy swap.

Arrived in very protective packaging and antistatic bags. So far, they both have taken a full charge and holding the charge as expected. Obviously I will not be swapping batteries every day, so it will be a while until I know if they used grade A cells. The OEM battery was still accepting a partial charge being 12 years old unless it was changed for another OEM HP battery before I bought the laptop from an off lease commercial equipment recycler 8 years ago.

My original battery had been dead for the better part of the last 4 years! It would normally last about 5 minutes when unplugged from the wall. Then, the laptop started acting up, and would I stantly die when unplugged. Grabbed this battery, and not only does the battery work, and I can unplug my computer from the wall, but somehow it is actually running better! Maybe the dead battery was somehow making windows just go nuts? Don't know, but it works like new now! Not bad for an 8+yr old laptop!

Battery worked great for about 4 months, now it won’t take a charge. It’s been more than 30 days, so now I have to buy it all over again. I just bought another one of these for a different computer and I wish I hadn’t because I don’t trust it to last. Spend your money on a different brand.

Would not latch in, and it is not something you force into place. The cloning was not perfect, so it had to go back.
