Review: Interesting Product - I bought this as a "medical product", with live bacteria, not expecting this to be true Sauerkraut (heavily salted, sugared, completely brined). In Old Latvia they would put shredded Cabbage, Salt, Vinegar, Caraway Seeds, perhaps Mustard Seeds, under a weight in a barrel in the Cellar and let it sit and ferment until it was done. This product is more like a Cabbage salad (a fresh Cabbage taste). If I was looking to eat a product similar to the overly-sweet, overly-salty canned "Bavarian Sauerkraut" I would add some Apple Cider Vinegar and some Sugar, and some more Salt. But I didn't. I ate a small bowl before sleep and for some reason got 6 hours of sleep for the first time in months (legs are injured, pain). No stomache problems at all. Real, "finished" Sauerkraut shouldn't need refrigeration, so I was surprised when these arrived in an insulated box with an ice bag (warm), the bags were full of gas, smelly of course, but tasted fine, like shredded Cabbage salad more than Sauerkraut, but it was obvious that the fermentation was "live", still in progress, which is why I bought the product (9 lbs. worth lol) and did no harm to my stomache or sleep.

Unbelievable product!! Began having stomach/digestive issues, tried Greek yogurt for their live cultures with zero affect! Tried the OliveMyPickle carraway sauerkraut and almost instantly ALL issues were gone! Going on a week and still zero issues! Have but a small handful with each meal. And yeah... it's not cheap... but who cares about price when your health is involved! If you're having issues, give it a try. It may not work for you since everyone is different... but I can now sleep on whatever side I damn well want to now and stop reading WebMD for goodness sakes!!
