Kozo Grinders [Upgraded Version] Grinder. Large 4 Piece, 2.5 Inch Black (Blue- Lightning)

Overall it's a good grinder. Has a bottom piece that is not fixed, will allow for easy cleaning. The grinder did have a blue piece of the metal chip off, getting into my grinded material. I only want grinded material in the material I want to grind, not extra pieces from the metal that was supposed to be grinding the material to be grinded. You might think I am nitpicking, but this happened in the exact first time I used the grinder. I am not sure if it will occur in the future, but so far its 1/1 I had a piece chip off. All in all, I think its a good product, not great but hey, nothing is perfect.

I usually don't review products especially not something as mundane as a grinder but I felt compelled to say this A very nice three stage grinder. Other grinders I've used in the past have gotten sticky or dull, but after 5 months of use I can say it grinds as smoothly as it ever did. Other grinders didn't hold up to the repetitive pushing of my one-hitter on the mesh in the second stage. This one has held up quite well, no warping or stretching of the mesh. Also the kief comes off nicely in the third stage, No residue build up. I attribute this to the slick, black, matte finish of the tray. I can't be sure if that's the scientific reason, but after 5 months of heavy use the tray is still clean. The only down side of this grinder is that the glass on top used verify that the herb has successfully left the first stage gets cloudy over time due to kief sticking to it, but this does not at all impair the function of the glass.

I bought one for myself and treated a friend to one as well. I must admit, it works better than I'd have guessed. The larger diameter makes it much easier to twist & grind. The magnet holding the lid is as advertised, nice & strong. It's just a well made item and it happens to look good also. As with any new grinder I'll be monitoring it to see how well the grinding teeth hold up. My first guess is I'll get nice longevity out of it and the smooth grinding will continue to rock on.One small hint that makes it REALLY smooth to use; put about 3 small evenly spaced drops of a lightweight oil (I used gun oil, great for a lot of things) where the lid rotates & slides on the narrow lip of the grinder and the lid will twist with incredible ease. You'll want to do this because like all grinders it's metal-on-metal. Optional: place a couple drops of the same oil onto the threads when you unscrew the grinder. Consider it preventative maintenance.Just get one!!

As a professional chef / researcher - I seek out equipment that is built for constant use / abuse / experimentation.The Kozo grinder is such a device...easily processing any type of product that passes through it, from herbs to mushrooms to tougher spices.The construction material is dense / easy to separate and clean / large internal volume / stores as one unit / magnetized for cohesive use (I am always dropping and losing pieces).Usage - the teeth pattern allows for the user to fill the top chamber fully - and the alternating twist motion (via hand) uniformly moves the material into the lower chambers - screens separating each variant. You are left with perfectly ground product - sized well for whatever comes next.I viewed many vendors / queried colleagues / and found this unit is perfect for my needs - and probably anyone who is fortunate enough to make this purchase!

The previous version, purchased Nov 2019, was superior to the new version,purchased Nov 2021 . New version is difficult to close and screw back together as the screw threads seem to be imperfect and not line up. The clear top window on the lid becomes unclear after use and becomes difficult to clean where as the lid on the previous version was all metal. Disappointed as the previous version is a great product. Maybe just a bad one and still grinds very well so will be keeping.

I have used many grinders over the years. This one caught my eye, because it looks really cool. The features looked good too. When I got it, it's a beautiful as I expected, and it works better than any grinder I've used. It was really fast, cleaned itself out really well, and has ample storage on the bottom. Every part was easy to use and worked perfectly.

grinds perfect for me... have the option of mesh screen catcher or not... I prefer not... easy to grind and it seems well built.. hoping this is first and last grinder I purchase....it has a see thru top which is nice..the bottom could use a o ring, you have to snug twist the bottom a little... seems to move while grinding, otherwise then that its a mighty fine grinder for 420 ... sorry no pics or vids.. not legal in my state yet...lol

I love this grinder. I have nerve damage in my left hand and can't begin to count the times I've let slip a smooth metal grinder and wasted all that herb. This gives me something to grip. I also like that I'm able to access the 2nd storage area with just a little twist of the main storage compartment. "Highly" recommended!
