It's a very beautifully done set. I mainly got it for the Labyrinth but I'm excited to read the other two.

Beautiful collection
My husband bought this for me because I love the movie Labyrinth. The books are beautiful and are hard cover. I love them and look forward to reading them all.

I think this is something that Jim Henson fans will love, but other people might struggle to appreciate the beauty of what each book contains. My first impression was that it's actually a little bit smaller than I thought it was going to be, but that doesn't really matter as the box is very strong and the books are simply lovely to look at. The writing style of Labyrinth and The Dark Crystal reminds me of the novelisation of 'Willow' when the writer already has the story laid out before them and just tries too hard to be clever and artistic, but sort of fails because of it. I suppose it's quite difficult taking charge of characters and a story-line that isn't your own creation, so you can't dig your nails right into it.On the stories and writing alone, the books wouldn't be a lot to write home about and I wouldn't be giving a four-star review. However, I've grown up with these three films and series and I'm completely obsessed with Jim Henson (and Brian Froud) so, for me, the novelisation itself doesn't really matter. It's the note-pages, the pictures, the entire presentation of the books that win me over and I think other Henson fans will feel the same. It's a lovely little boxed-set to have on the bookshelf and it's lovely to go straight to the back of each book to look at the drawings and studio notes even if you don't read the actual 'novel' part of them.

Very Disappointing
Lovely set, but ultimately I'm very disappointed. First of all, the size. In Amazon's product description it says 20.3 cms x 27.9 cms. In actual fact it's 20cms x 15 cms wide, so nearly 8 cms in height shorter and 5 cms less in its width. The Labyrinth is quoted as having 20 new never before seen illustrations by Brian Froud. There are 15. Over 50 pages of original notes also in Labyrinth. Try 20. The paper is cheap quality. The photos at the back of The Story Teller I thought might be on glossy paper, sadly not. Printed on cheap newspaper quality and are very grainy because of this. Not sharp and clear but dull and lifeless. The most significant change is the price as well. Amazon have its RRP as £55.99. The price on the box is actually £45 so you're not saving what you think you are.Amazon need to update the product information.Worth the cheaper £36.39? No.Nice set, yes, it's ok, but not great.I would think the original release box set is as listed by Amazon but this re-release does not match it all. Very disappointing to be honest. In my opinion, try and hunt down the original first printing box set.

Excelente edición
Aunque ya tenía la versión en castellano de Labyrinth, recomiendo esta versión original ya que lleva material extra muy valioso para todo aficionado a esta película.
