With products like this, the brand name and price are everything.
It works perfectly and has two years left before the expiration date. I recommend it.

Disappointing Quality
I purchased a two pack on 2023/Sept/01 for use in a digital oral thermometer. Popped one into the thermometer and it worked well. Fast forward to earlier this month (2025/October): the thermometer did not power on (when I needed it). I thought it might be a high drain load, and looked for the second of the two batteries still in the bubble package. Upon removing the old battery, I decided to test the voltage of the old and unused batteries out of curiosity. The one that I removed tests at 0.090V which is quite dead. The as yet to be used battery tests at a _negative_ (yes, as in minus) 0.040 Volts. The only good thing that I can say is neither battery leaked. The "EXP. DATE" on the package states "12-2028" ... hmm, its only 2025 (I've been able to use other batteries successfully past the stated expiration date). I expected much better quality from Maxell. Considering that the unused battery tested as dead, it is unlikely that the thermometer had a high drain while off.
