This watch is gorgeous! The face is simple and clean, and it just has an overall elegant look. Plus, it's a Bulova, so you know it's going to be worry free and easy to use and maintain. I nicked one star for the band, which feels surprisingly flimsy. If the band does stand the test of time and wear, I'll revisit this review and raise it to five stars.

Update Jan-28-2015: This is the only time I have come back to post an update on a review. I am upgrading my review to 5 stars. Several solid months later this is just as beautiful as day 1. I ordered black lizard and tan/brown alligator straps from Amazon. It looks a lot more expensive than it is especially with the addition of a nice band. Original review.. This is a really beautiful watch. I had originally ordered another watch by another manufacturer that showed a beautiful soft white face and a rich brown leather strap. When it arrived it had a yellow face and a yellow-orange brown leather strap leaving me frantically scrambling at the very last minute for a gift. After going back & forth with amazon cs I was able to order this as replacement and returned the other one. This was everything I had hoped for - a stylish, simple watch that can be dressed up or down. It is true that it does not have the Bulova logo but Bulova originally started without that logo, only with 'Bulova' printed on their watch faces so I don't mind. This seems like a throwback to their origin. Only issue I have is with the watch strap which is not up to the caliber of the watch face itself as the faux crocodile embossed strap feels & looks somewhat cheap. A simple brown band may have been better in this case but that is easily remedied. I just ordered some other straps so we can switch it. The person this is for is thrilled with it, we got it in time and I am appreciative of amazon's customer service for helping me get the gift on time.

Like the title says, this watch is simplistic elegance. There is nothing negative in so far as this watch is exactly what it is supposed to be. A simple and elegant slim and compact dress type watch. The case, dial, hands, and markers are all silver, with a small date window. There is a faint - very faint - sunburst pattern to the dial. This watch style is not for everybody, if it was, we would not have total abominations like Invicta (for example) selling ugly and gigantic watches. But people who buy that garbage would most likely not be considering this watch anyways, so I expect if you are reading this, that this watch is your style. Watch band is decent, but I never base reviews on watch straps. Watch manufacture straps are all crap unless you get into the $500+ range. I swap it out and never look at them again.

I went in search for a watch for my son. Sound easy? Try again. Believe it or not, there are many men who are not built like a linebacker. Most men's watches are very bulky and very large. A watch might look great in the catalog but it will feel like a lead weight and overwhelm the wrist for a normal size writs. This watch is perfect for guys who want a simple and comfortable watch - thin and elegant but cool enough for the younger set. It's lightweight and the face diameter is well balanced. It's water resistant to something like 90 feet (more practically, it's water resistant to withstand the shower). The face is easy to read and my son commented that the logo was really cool. This watch looks much more expensive than it is. It's great for guys who want to graduate to a real watch without the bulk.

I'm not really sure how to review this watch. On one hand, it looks nice and clean - I bought it specifically as a dress watch with a suit and it will work well for that. I almost never wear a suit, so the two times a year I put a suit on, it will be perfect. The thing is, though, it's a pretty cheap watch. The hands don't line up right (when the minute hand points directly at 12, the hour hand doesn't point directly at the hour marks, for example) and the second hand doesn't line up with the face correctly. This isn't a major deal because most (probably all) watches in this price range are going to be the same. The biggest problem is, the watch will not let me set the date. The second stop on the crown appears to be broken and the only way to set the date is to go to the third stop on the crown and just keep going forward with the time until you get to the right day. It's quite tedious. However, again, not a major deal because once you get it set, it shouldn't have to mess with it again for a few years (minus minor time adjustment from time to time). So, it will look nice with a suit (as long as no one looks really close at it), but it's still a pretty cheaply built watch. For my needs, it's perfect, but I would NOT buy this to wear as my daily watch.

Nice watch

Fantastic watch! Got plenty of compliments for the looks. The glass is resistant enough for daily wear. The leather is very smooth and soft - I like it because no more damaged shirt sleeves, plus it feels very nice against the skin. The seconds hand is a little bit off (by 0.5 mm), but otherwise for this money it can easily be the best understated elegant dress watch one can get.

Die uhr ist tatsächlich nur 6mm stark wie angegeben was garnicht so selbstverständlich ist im Internet. Dazu hat sie Sekundenzeiger und eine Datumsanzeige. Das alles zusammen bei nur 6mm ist einzigartig. Sehr zu empfehlen. Wohl zu beachten dass sie 36-38mm breit ist was bei großen Händen eher klein wirken kann. Dafür bleibt sie aber dezent.

L'acquisto di un orologio di piccolo diametro, elegante, classico e senza fronzoli e' stato espressamente richiesto da mio figlio come regalo di Natale. La scelta e' ricaduta su questo orologio che rispecchia esattamente le desiderata, scelta fatta anche considerando il nome Bulova, storica marca americana che negli anni 50 fu la prima a mettere in commercio un orologio elettronico alimentato da un movimento al Diapason, il Bulova Accutron. L'orologio, racchiuso nella sua bella scatola nera con il marchio Bulova in contrasto e bene in vista, e' arrivato in una scatola Amazon. E' impermeabile fino a 30 metri, la cassa e' spessa solo 6mm ed e larga 37mm, il peso e' di circa 60 grammi, la copertura e' in vetro minerale, il quadrante e' bianco perlato ed e' presente una apertura per il datario a ore 3; il cinturino e' di pelle ed e' sufficentemente lungo sia per il mio polso che quello di mio figlio. Le lancette indicano Ore/Minuti/Secondi, gli indici delle ore sono a barretta e l'alimentazione e' garantita da una batteria che dovrebbe durare almeno 2 anni. Mio figlio e' stato molto contento di ricevere quesrto orologio perche' eì' proprio come lo desiderava. Considerato il costo, il nome e le caratteristiche di cui sopra lo consiglio e non sono d'accordo con i giudizi negativi espressi da altri utenti. Nella mia "carriera" di amante degli orologi ho avuto, ed ho tuttora, decine di orologi e rispetto ad altri marchi ben piu' conosciuti ed affermati lo ritengo un ottimo acquisto.
