So iLL Kick Climbing Shoe Teal

I was trying to find another shoe that was a little more comfortable without losing too much performance. I love the color of this shoe and it definitely was comfortable...a little too comfortable. I had some heel slipping going on, it was a little too wide for me (and my foot is on the wider side). I followed the company's sizing guide (Women's street size 8 and ordered an 8 in these) I wish I had gotten half a size smaller. Also - you can see glue EVERYWHERE on the shoe. It's really sloppy. The rubber seems pretty sticky - but it's hard to tell with the looseness of the shoe/loss of feeling. Could be an amazing shoe - but it's just kind of clunky.

Coming from the 5.10 shoes for most of my climbing needs, I like the way these shoes fit. I ordered a half size down from my shoe size for the comfort fit, expecting them to stretch a bit because they are made from real leather. I needed a workhorse for doing laps that didn't need to be aggressive in nature, so these fit the bill. I love the color and have been getting tons of compliments and looks at the gym. The rubber is extremely soft and sticky and I'm learning to get a sense of these shoes fairly quickly. As far as durability, time will tell with how long I can use these before the rubber wears out.As far as the strap, I was can't adjust the two straps individually as well as I can if they weren't connected, but it isn't a deal breaker. The color of the shoe are also a double edge sword too; being that they do dye your feet a nice teal color because these aren't lined. Hopefully that isn't as big as a problem as I wear them more and the initial break-in period is done.

Takes awhile to break in. Once broken in they fit like a glove. I get compliments on these at the gym a lot. The rubber has a good grip on it too as well. The color had me sold on these from the get.
