Practical book for understanding others
I am not a great reader, but After reading this book I’m compelled to leave a review because it helped me so much that I consider it a must read for anyone!this book had helped me to understand my friends, partner and family better. I now see the world through their eyes, I couldn’t relate to them before because I couldn’t understand how a person just like me acts so different then me in a so many situations. I used to get upset from that, but now i speak their language (my friend even told me after I read this book that I finally understand her). another bonus is that i love my friends and partner so much more then before, as I get to see how wonderful they are, the way they are. It also helped me understand why I act the way I act, what I should notice (and work on). I got to meet and even like myself. this book is dear to my heart, it is not a one time read, i use it every time i meet a challenging situation. It should be available in every book store as a public service, seriously. Love it!

So helpful! Best psychological personality map I have ever encountered
I loved this book! It helped me to understand, accept and develop my own the different layers of my own personality. And also to understand and also appreciate my partner and the tendencies of her personality... and of course also friends and other individuals with very different perspectives and experiences of life.A special detail a liked a lot was the questionnaire at the end of each chapter which helped me to indentify my own personality type. This book is the rare combination of profound wisdom and estonishing clarity while still being written in a simple and entertaining way. On a personal level it is a very helpful, practical and 'straight to the point' tool for understanding ourselves and finding purpose and meaning in life. Furthermore this model of personality types can also contribute to the work of therapists and psychologists.

So Interesting!
I have never seen another book like this and I love it! I have read up a lot on chakras, but I have never read a book before that actually connects it with personality types! A fascinating read.

Wow. Just wow.
Very one-sided. Seems like the author is bitter against any type but her own. Do not recommend.

original
I've read and gotten a lot from reading Myers-Briggs type personality books as well as Please Understand Me 2 by David Keirsey. This adds a 'soul design' component that is exciting and revealing. I think, however, that I read this book at the right time for me - having some more life experience and self-knowledge under my belt so I could better 'see' myself in the descriptions. I really enjoyed this book and thank its author for a helpful guide to us all who wish to bettern understand and appreciate ourselves and others.

Mixed truth & simplistic-"candy", .. IF you can see through it, good.
This one is difficult..It gives some information seldom found, and it gives lots of convenient-but-superficial/incorrect information, too.3rd eye is pineal, not in front of face. So, to do the inner-light meditation ( in bed, in total-dark, finding the inner-light & dwelling in it )one goes into the deep core of one's mind, not between + above one's eyebrows. The accuratest understanding of the 3 root metabolisms/doshas is in Frawley's "Ayurvedic Healing", and in Kozak & Frawley's "Yoga for Your Type".You may remember some yogis recommend never concentrating one's energy in any chakra below one's heart-chakra,unless one really knows what one is doing?Did you know the Central-American religions that indulged in human-sacrifice did know chakras, but not the heart-chakra?I'm Vajrayana, & hopefully finished with human-existing, soon, and it seems that the Geluk tradition's description of the Central Channel,& the Side Channels, with the knots & spokes curving from those knots ( chakras/hubs ),is correct, and it is 7-major, 3-minor chakras,& it isn't straight from tailbone to crown, it is sorta C-shaped...Just as there is a simplistic energy-currents system of mudras, and there is another system that has the Earth-channel through one's ring-fingers ( Water-channel through one's little-fingers, etc:it's evolved its own way,not regarding where *we* would put things, see? ),and it is *that* system which works right, with the energies,so too does the Geluk ( root guru of Je Tsongkhapa is theirs ) lineage chakra-system seem to correlate with the energy-functions much better...Ramakrishna Vivekananda identified that each continuum/soul/atman had its own character/nature,and it simply wouldn't commit karma outside of that,so one's soul-character is, to some extent, one's fate. There are 3 major paths of shedding soul-imprisonment within Universes-containment, aka samsara:* Faithing, which apparently is fastest,* Wisdom piercing-through ignosis, &* Compassion immeasurable, Bodhichitta, which is the bedrock of Allgod/OceanOfAllBuddhas( same concept, but emphasis is on no-"self", in buddhism ) religion...All-3 of these is required for Enlightenment ( a soul's dissolving into Allgod/OceanOfAllAwakeSouls ),but which one is the primary instinct, of that soul/atman?That tends to remain consistent, through reincarnations...As for the~the strongest is your primary, the next is your secondary, the 3rd is your supporting~I've enough experience to know that that may be true for most, but not all.( Sally Hogshead makes the same mistake, but limiting people to 2:instead of saying"See whether you are 1-strong and all others low,2-strong, equal or unequal, & all others low,or 3-strong, equal or unequal, & all others low,or 4...*let the data speak its truth & accept/respect it*",in her Fascinate/"How The World Sees You" test.. )Most may have 1, 2, 3...Some are not going to have the same number of significant factors. Also, this system *really* needs to integrate yin/yang..Thinkers tend to be yin-pitta ( mind ), yang-vata ( body ).( pitta types tend to have muscle,vata-types tend to be cold all the time.Thinkers tend to be cold all the time. )Anyways, if you want to get from 0 to 3, this is definitely a means of getting-there.If you want to get from 4-9, then I have no idea what to recommend:I'm still looking.I want stuff as profound & accurate as Elisabeth Haich's stuff.or Ramana Maharshi's stuff.or Padmasambhava's & Yeshe Tsogyal's stuff.or The Complete Works of Ramakrishna Vivekananda ( Vol 1 is important ).Yogani is also good ( hope I remembered their name right! )Kaizen, eh?
