They are all smooth, sturdy and a pleasure to use. Unfortunately the circular needles are unusable. The connecting plastic is far to flimsy and collapsible to use, and buckle when yarn passes over them. The little kit of markers, tape measure and snippets is excellent. I’m tossing the circular needles (don’t want to even give them away; they’re useless). That being said, this is still a great value. I have spent a fortune on other brands double point, and I never seemed to have the needles I needed for various projects. Now I have a full set.
