Great Raw Diet Food
I wholeheartedly believe a raw diet is the best diet for dogs but found that it was very time consuming to prepare my dogs food myself and I constantly feared I was missing vital nutrients, vitamins or minerals. I purchased this food for convenience for the pet sitter when I went on vacation. My dogs loved it! I have now consistently been feeding it for several years now and my dogs are happy and at peak health.I find it best to figure out the calories your dog needs, they have an easy calculator, and weigh the food out rather than using a measuring cup. For my 70 pound, lazy dog, she gets 3.8 ounces of the chicken flavor in the morning and 4.2 ounces of the mackerel and lamb at night to meet her calorie needs. Weighing the food is best due to the way the food is made, you can have inconsistent sizes of food which will fill the cup differently. Some complain that this food is overpriced. Once you calculate your dog’s caloric needs, this food becomes more cost effective, especially compared to other high quality, pre-prepared, raw diet foods. It is also more convenient. Some complain that there are crumbles and powder in their bags. It is important to remember that this is an all natural food meaning there are no fillers such as starches. Starches are what make other foods firm and crunchy. So yes, you can expect some crumbles, sometimes more than others depending on the handling of the bags. However, the crumbles and powder are not wasted!! They are still high nutrient food. Don’t throw them away. My dogs happily licks them up from the bowl. This is another reason it’s best to weigh the food.My somewhat complaint. I’m not going to lie, the food kind of stinks, but it’s a raw diet so that is to be expected it’s just one of the downfalls. The chicken flavor isn’t bad, but the mackerel & lamb? Well, it’s fish and lamb so it shouldn’t be surprising. What is surprising, is that it doesn’t linger on my dogs breath. My complaint. They recently changed their packaging and I am not a fan. The bags used to have strong handles at the tops of the bags, they sealed back up easily and they had a perfect size scoop in them. Now there are no handles, no scoop, and sometimes I have to work the ziplock type seal.Hands down, will continue to feed and recommend this food!

Perfect high value treat
I don't use this as dog food, but as high value treats for my sporting dogs. Great item, perfect small pieces for treating, high quality food. I will keep using this and will purchase whenever there is a nice sale for it.So far I've tried multiple varieties and all of them have been excellent.

Dependably good food
This is expensive food, but my dog is small and doesn't eat much. I purchased venison because it is the easiest meat to digest.

Harley loves this
I top my dogs normal food with this, compared to the others the price is good and my dog loves it, I have ordered it 2x. Simple ingredients and lasts a while if used as a topping like I do

High Quality Dog Food - certainly not kibble!
My two fur buddies LOVE this dog food. I don't like the preservative; I wish they could figure something else out. But I bought their canned food, which they can't get enough of as well. I don't know any picky eaters, who won't eat this dog food. It's expensive, but I believe they produce superior dog food and their animals in New Zealand are raised healthier.

Fabulous Choice for My Furry Friend
There are a few reasons why I really like this food. The high protein content is fantastic, and it's great to find a product with limited ingredients. It's suitable for all life stages, which makes it a versatile choice. However, the texture of the food could be improved. Also, it would be nice to see a wider variety of protein sources. Despite these minor issues, it's been a positive experience overall.

Superfood
My 7 month old Chihuahua Pekingese mix puppy absolutely loves this food!! He’s a really picky eater and it’s been super hard to find high quality food that he likes. I’m now feeding him this and the turkey recipe from Sundays for dogs to give him some variety. He’s doing really good on both!!

Update: ziwi is dead move on to Sunday's
I just switched my 2 French Bulldogs over to Ziwi from Royal Canin. I feel like such an idiot for waiting this long. Seriously this is awesome. No fillers. My girls are 22 lbs each so they get about 4 oz a day. That breaks down to about $1 an oz / $4 a day per dog. It's expensive but my dogs have literally gained their life back. People use to comment constantly how mellow my girls are. I felt happy with their lazy demeanor. I didn't realize they were lazy because they were eating a bunch of corn and wheat byproduct. After just 3 or 4 days on Ziwi they literally are jumping for joy when I get their meals, they have energy and are excited to be alive. They still have all the wonderful personality they always had but they have a joy and exuberance they haven't had in a long time. I highly recommend this food for anyone who loves their pet, who wants the best for them and I fully expect that my dogs will live longer because of it.Added bonus they have to poop about 1/2 or 1/3 as often. One poop a day rather and 2 or 3 is actually quite a big difference in my clean up time in the yard. Thank you Ziwi for being transparent and delivering a quality product that my dogs love at a price I can afford.Update: ziwi is now 35% more expensive and much lower quality. Absolutely never buy it off amazon as they will send you a bag of flavored dust. I dont know if it was the pandemic or supply chain issues but I cannot see myself ever buying it again unless they do a full revamp of their production. It use to be big chunks of obvious meat but now its nearly powder with random chunks of meat. Not even my least picky dog wants it without me doctoring it up.I set out to find a better replacement and was glad to find Sunday's. They have pooe customer communication but the product seems far superior. Were just now on week 1 with Sunday's, expect a review here if its anything but stellar.
