A: It will fit 8 ft ceiling. It has a short rod

A: Yes it can be. I have it installed on an angled ceiling in my covered porch.

**Q: what size bulbs fit this?**
A: Standard base bulbs. In some cases it depends on the model. I have bought 4 units it does come with bulbs.

**Q: 2 questions.  what base do the bulbs have ?   Does the remote have a dimmable button ?**
A: Standard bulb base and remote has 3 fab speed but not dimmable- only light on and off
