The product came with no directions in it. The little paper that another reviewer had was cut short and missing the instructions. A friend pushed it in too far while looking at it. I tried tape, suction, blowing on the other side, and picking at the corners with my nail and tweezers. Nothing pulled the gel side back out. Eventually, I ripped it apart to find that there was no mechanism to push it back out. Even if my friend didn't lodge the gel side in immediately, it was bound to happen at some point. So, I guess better now, then when I would be counting on it. I wish they had thought to put a ring or some obstacle to keep it from becoming completely submerged/flush with the edge. That wouldn't require too much effort... Since it is simply a chapstick lip balm that has been hollowed out. Save yourself ten dollars and make your own.

We bought this for an escape room type adventure for my adult children at Christmas. They had no idea that it had a hidden compartment. It was the perfect item to hide a clue in. I loved it. It did exactly what it claimed to do. It also arrived quickly.

Perfect! Just what I was looking for...stash compartment not as accessible to open as I'd hoped but I definitely give it 5 Stars.UPDATE: I struggled to get it open almost every time I used it so it fell apart...This happened after the third time I’d used it.

I bought this for a friend of mine and she really liked it so I bought one for myself. Unfortunately the Chapstick portion was jammed into the tube and I was unable to extract without breaking it. If you can find one that has better functionality I would definitely go that route.
