These are great tires which I am using for daily winter commuting. Finally had a good storm here in CT to try them on: freezing rain, then dropped to 15 degrees with ice, black ice, frozen snow on the roads everywhere and not a single squirrely slip or skid. Mind you I was not tearing around corners or anything, definitely going very conservative but they were fantastic. I have some steep hills up and down and powered right up without a slip and braking downhill was equally sure footed.I will say that the road noise is pretty loud when it is on pavement but not a big deal.Worth the money.

I commute all winter in MN and I love these tires. There is no one perfect tire for all conditions but these tick a lot of winter boxes. I have a high wattage Surly Ogre ebike to make the all year commute doable (I'm old and heavy and hate car payments) and I've tried a bunch of winter tires and these win, hands down. I have a hilly, curvy, sketchy, icy commute and I've fallen a couple times on other studded tires so I'm obsessed with safety. These have enough volume to be cushy and have bunches of traction but still roll well. They sound like popping corn on bare pavement but who cares when the goal is staying upright. The studs are holding up well. I replace the center studs each year. Street riding hasn't knocked any studs out. When the roads are clear, they obviously aren't as good as a nice street tire, corner handling and noise (noise can be handy to alert pedestrians), but when it dumps and freezes out, it's always worth it having them on. I've had very expensive studded fat tires (Dillingers) on other bikes and the safety factor on these is so much higher. The aggressive lugs are way better at getting the studs down to payment and not floating the studs up like fat tires love to even in light slop. I live where they like to not plow the roads, I'm talking they just skip that section of town on purpose, and the confidence with these tires is high. Great on glare ice. If you are one of the "that guy is crazy" commuters doing tough winter commuting, these come highly recommended.

I purchased these tires because winter conditions around here make it nearly impossible to ride regularly. I did about 70% of the break-in time on asphalt. I’ve done 30 miles of trail riding over rocky and extremely icy trails and have only lost one stud. These tires work exceptionally well, roll well, shed snow well and provided an extremely secure and confident ride. Without exception they have turned winter riding over rough and technical trails into very safe and dependable routes. These tires have exceeded my expectations. I have been able to do tight figure eights and circles on polished snow free ice and have never lost traction. Worth every penny. Purchase with confidence.

If you want to ride confidently on snow and ice these tires are a great compliment to any mountain bike. I commute to work 3 days per week on these many times on compact snow and ice. The other day I saw a Subbie go off the road slipping on the sheet ice as I came confidently to a stop.Dry traction is definitely lower than regular road tires but they do very well on all loose surfaces and mud. These are very aggressive tread and they are noisy. Rolling resistance is higher than regular road tires too.

The tire is a nice aggressive knoby dirt bike like tire tibegin with that offers good slush and snow traction but the studs really grab at the ice. Great stopping power on ice but be worry if quick stops on asphalt you are likely to slide a bit. Great trade off though for bad weather traction.

these tires are awsome on ice and hard pack snow! well constructed.I have a pair on a motorized bike I take to the lake. grips like rubber on tar baby!

I've ridden the last two winters on a pair of schwalbe marathon winter studded tires. They were great on the ice, inspiring confidence and I never went down once. Keep in mind that although those tires were great in shallow snow and on ice they lacked any usable grip in deeper (3 inches plus) white stuff. The Ice Spiker Pro is much more agressive and so far has been fairly controllable in 6 inches plus of powder. Ice is not an issue whatsoever. Very impressive. Be aware that you WILL get plenty of odd looks as you ride by cars and trucks that are bumbling through the snow.

I just got the tires mounted today. They fit in my fenders which makes me happy. They look super aggressive with about a million studs. Pretty sure if I ran over an animal it would be instant hamburger. I haven't even used them yet. This review is more about the seller. Two studded Schwalbe tires for $90, shipped from GB. I can't even buy one locally for that. And, best part is, they got here 10 days after I ordered. I will try to use this seller again.

You just gotta see these things... amazing. I note that instructions provide mild use (no fast breaking etc) for about 40km prior to normal use to allow the spikes to "seat" properly... these things are a game changer for winter riding... although maybe an aggressive tire for some, commuting/riding any where in winter with sun/ice cycle these will allow a ride anytime (e.g. early cool morning on ice, and later in warming day)... seriously, if you are on the fence I highly recommend....

Usati su neve e ghiaccio, sia in montagna che in collina. La tenuta su ghiaccio è ottima e dà sicurezza, anche su forti pendenze in discesa. Su neve molle tende a sprofondare facilmente per la larghezza contenuta dello pneumatico, cosa che su neve fresca non troppo alta diventa un vantaggio. Unico neo, per cui ho dato 4 stelle, è il fatto che nonostante abbia percorso oltre 40 Km su asfalto in piano a velocità costante (come raccomandato dal produttore) prima di utilizzarli, ho perso 51 chiodi alla prima uscita in montagna, quasi tutti in salita e alla ruota anteriore. Naturalmente li ho ricomprati e reintegrati. Per il resto direi che è un'ottima soluzione per chi voglia praticare questo sport seriamente anche in inverno.

Schon der zweite Satz für mein Rad.Nachdem der 1.Satz nach mehreren Jahren hinüber war ,musste Ersatz her.Kann ich nur empfehlen für alle die das ganze Jahr über mit dem Rad unterwegs sind,wegrutschen bei Eis und Schnee gibt es nicht mehr.

Die Reifen haben 2 Winter gehalten ca 1700 km....
