30 Rock - Season 6 DVD - Full list of Extras
Since the NBC Press Release was very vague about the extras on this Season 6 DVD Set, I just wanted to quickly write them down for you. Included is:- Audiocomentary on "Dance Like Nobody's Watching" by writer Tracey Wigfield and writer/producer Tom Ceraulo- Audiocomentary on "Alexis Goodlooking and the case of the Missing Whisky" by Judah Friedlander- Audiocomentary on "Standards and Practices" by Jack McBrayer- Audiocomentary on "Live from Studio 6H" by Jane Krakowski and composer/producer Jeff Richmond- West Coast Version of the Live Show (23:23 min)- Behind the Scenes of "Live from Studio 6H" (7:24 min)- Warm up Featurette before the Live Show (8:42 min)- Deleted ScenesAs you can see they have cut down the number of Audiocomentaries immensely, as there used to be up to 10 per Season Set. And again there is no gag reel, which is something I would so love to see from a show like this. Also, I wished there were more interviews with cast and crew.Overall this was a great season. It amazes me how this show manages to stay fresh after 6 years. Nothing feels worn out, actually to the contrary they manage to bring in new elements and going back to some of the core storylines of the show. I loved the addition of James Marsden as Liz's new boyfriend Criss. The writers managed to create a loveable character and actually used him in a good way throughout the Season, giving Liz and Criss a possible happy ending for the upcoming final and seventh season. I also loved this years Live Episode and Queen of Jordan Episode. I also need to mention Jenna, for whom the writers really stepped up their, already high, game. Her remarks and storylines were really a highlight of the Season for me, especially in the beginning. All in all I highly recommend the sixth season of 30 Rock, although I wished they put more effort into the DVD Extras.

More Antics at NBC
I love "30 Rock". I've been watching it for several years, ever since my now-fiance introduced me to it. The writing is clever and there's just so much of the wacky and hilarious in this ongoing story of the colorful characters on The Girlie Show at NBC. The characters are so blatant and honest about themselves - there's no beating around the bush - the obvious imperfections of these people are out there, but somehow we as viewers of the show just love them more! I have a hard time watching "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" because I just can't stand how the characters are self-absorbed and plain stupid. I thoroughly enjoy "30 Rock" because at least most of the characters have redeeming qualities about them. They make mistakes and do a lot dumb things, but they're not constantly in denial like the people in "It's Always Sunny...".

THe Future of Sit-Coms
The wit, intelligence and superb delivery of each 30 Rock never fails to make me laugh, entertain me, and tell me a story on several levels. What a great ensemble, what fantastic writing, and all squeezed in less tha 30 minutes. There is so much packed into each episode that I have to watch several times to pick up on some of the deliveries. 30 Rock is a formidable competitor to reality TV as it's a slice of the old formulae sit-com that doesn't pander, doesn't treat it's viewers as couch potatoes and stays pithy and relative to todays world. If you love TV in it's future incarnation, have loved it for the decades of it's past incarnations, and really want to see where television should someday be, 30 Rock is it. Don't miss an episode. Prepare to laugh, think, and love TV without guilt again. This is it.

Funny but Dying
This season is really funny, but it's hard to continue the laughs when the characters are exactly the same as they were in Season 1. Liz is still trying to find love, Jack is still an ego-maniac, Tracy is still ... Tracy etc. Don't get me wrong, that's what makes it funny. All I'm saying is that you can only do so much with those characters before it becomes less funny. I can see why Season 7 is the end of the series.I still love 30 Rock - and Alec Baldwin is so hot (in my opinion) - and I really enjoyed this season. At points, though, I saw the struggle to create new and interesting (and funny) concepts. The show has run it's course, unfortunately.

Season 6 still maintains the momentum....
....for the most part. A couple of things are hard to buy, like Jack's odd acceptance of the hostage situation with his wife (and mother of his child.) But I guess that's just Jack, and this is "30 Rock"---normal isn't normal for these guys. Sherri Shepard is great as Tracy's wife, but the "Queen of Jordan" subplot and its added cast wears thin real fast. Otherwise, the laughs pretty much move along as well as the previous seasons. James Marsden is a welcome addition, as Liz's long-awaited "normal" boyfriend. They have great chemistry, yet maintain the 'funny' level.

Rock on...
This series is great, has good actors, likable characters and great writing. That's what makes for an awesome series. It's a sit com worth watching and even worth owning where I can see repeat viewing.Unlike shows like "Lost", "Mad Men", "Game of Thrones", etc. which are more "cliffhanger" driven and have story arcs that you can't usually just pop a disc in and watch a random episode until and unless you've watched the entire series... sit coms are worth owning since you can just randomly watch any episode for equal enjoyment without any handcuffs nor necessary context of episodes before or after.

10 years later - still going strong
10 years after airing, 30 Rock is still relevant and hilarious. Tina and Alex are fabulous together with great screen chemistry, and the rest of the cast adds flavor to the show. Probably one of my top five shows of all time!

It's Ghostbusters II all over again!
I love this show! I missed most of season 6 somehow (back in the day) and am enjoying reliving the fun. LOVE that the set includes both East and West coast versions of the live episode.

Occasionally manages to hit top gear.
Yes, a solid season rather than a great one. After season five's weak run-in, i wondered how things would go. The answer is a somewhat moderate start, with a few highlights towards the middle and end. Perhaps that's a bit severe, but i suppose seasons one through four had left us with the highest of expectations. The truth is that it is hard for ANY comedy to remain as genuinely funny, throughout its entire lifetime. Here, many of the backing characters become even more margianalised. Lovely Cerie, and her dismissive, vacuous behaviour, is hardly around. Lutz and Sue get more action, but they aren't the funniest characters. Chris Parnell (Dr Spaceman) appears only a few times and we miss his anarchic, anti-bread lobbying presence. (Just watch him in the live episode.) Steve Buscemi (P.I. Len) does one brief cameo, besides directing an episode. When these people do appear, we're instantly reminded of the great moments which came before. Kristen Schaal, as new page Hazel, is a good addition, but even Liz Lemon's situation of domestic bliss doesn't generate much in the way of genuine mirth. The big "however" is that we still get a handful of great episodes. I especially enjoyed "Standards And Practices", as Kenneth struggles with his redeployment in the TGS structure. "Grandmentor" and "Kidnapped By Danger" are both excellent. "Queen Of Jordan 2" a very funny follow-up to season five's fly-on-the-wall mockumentary. "The Return Of Avery Jessup" has Jenna Maroney (Jane Krakowski excels throughout the season) doing a hilarious turn, prior to the good season finale. And the best episode of all, for me? "Live From Studio 6H", just as in season five. This really is side-splitting and........ yet again....... makes it all so worthwhile.I'll go through this again, in a couple of months. It may improve on repeat viewing, you never know. It's still good, after all, whilst not necessarily being quite as great as before. (PS. The rerun confirms a solid start, a bit of a lull, an intermittent peak around the middle to late middle and a decent end.)

Brilliant
If you've seen seasons 1-5 of 30 Rock, you already know to expect another hilarious, clever and well-written season of this fantastic show. If you haven't seen seasons 1-5 go and watch them first before buying this!!All your favourite characters are back being their usual funny selves as well as some great new ones like Kristen Schaal's, with amazing cameo appearances such as Jim Carey.I loved the return of Queen of Jordan, the Leap Day episode and other silly, fun storylines as well as the character development and growth that was seen throughout the season (especially as someone who is quite emotionally attached to what happens to all the characters at this point! (But don't worry, nothing too serious happens!)).Now I'm just sad that there's only one more season left of 30 Rock yet to see!

Brilliant, as always
I've only watched about half of the season so far but it is hilarious, just like the other seasons. The best moment so far is the first episode where Jack is having a crisis of confidence regarding his new talent show and is trying to talk to his baby daughter about it. There's also an episode where Liz uses one of Jack's motivational videos to help her in negotiations with him over her new contract-very funny and touching, in the end.

Seriously if you like comedy
One of the funniest things that I have ever watched the writing standards are amazing :) Alex Baldwin steals the show every scene he is in is brilliant. The only down side is the retarded Tracey Jordan character but even he has the occasional good moment, although his wife is far funnier > If you haven't watched it ... WTF get on it!
