Will this make sugar water last longer?

Frederick Dunn (check his YouTube channel) cites a 2001 study that concluded Honey B Healthy added 1 tsp to 1 quart sugar water will preserve it for a year. Hard to believe but he seems pretty trustworthy. I think it was on FAQ #59 or 60.

Quality product, but not my hive's taste

Product is great, no qualms. Smells like essential oils and does make sugar water last long and not crystalize. Bee's are peculiar creatures and for whatever reason, my hive didn't seem to dig the sugar water feed I gave them with supplement. It may just be the weather, but I'll try some side-by-side comparisons of plain sugar water and supplemented sugar water to confirm.
