Every surface that the food comes in contact with in this thermos is stainless steel or food grade silicone (the gasket in the lid). We looked for a while trying to find a thermos that didn't allow hot contents to come in contact with plastic. The thermos does it's job and keeps pasta warm until lunch. Cleanup is very easy due to the stainless steel. Customer support was great. Our first thermos had an issue with the lid fitting correct, but the seller sent out a replacement quickly! The thermos can be a little difficult for our 5 year old to open, but that is typically because someone really tightens the lid. Overall we are very happy with this purchase and will buy another one when our second child starts school. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great thermos! *by M***N on Reviewed in the United States on December 20, 2018* These thermoses are great! I ordered three for my kids for school and have no problems with leakage. I rinse them with hot water and dry them quickly before adding the hot food and my kids report that their food is still nice and hot by the time they have lunch, often 5 - 6 hours after I've prepared it. I've just ordered two more for my husband and I for road trips. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ It REALLY IS leakproof and insulating *by D***E on Reviewed in the United States on November 12, 2019* I'm updating my review, after my thermos "magically" started being leak proof, even with tomato soup. Works like a charm for keeping liquids and solids spillproof and hot. I must have done something wrong the first few times I used it! I was looking for a thermos made without plastic, or at least with no plastic coming into contact with food. This fits the bill, and fits perfectly in my son's LL Bean lunchbox alongside his stainless less Bento Box for holding the rest of his lunch. --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.jp/products/105835222-thermos-for-kids-by-fenrici-10-oz-no-plastic-contact](https://www.desertcart.jp/products/105835222-thermos-for-kids-by-fenrici-10-oz-no-plastic-contact) --- *Product available on Desertcart Japan* *Store origin: JP* *Last updated: 2026-10-09*
