We have two 9 month old boys who can be quite demanding on your time and patience and when you're trying to work or watch something on TV it can be a bit of a strain. This genius toy has given us some much needed time when we want it. I put it down and turn it on and I have all the time I need.One of our cats is just enthralled with it. He'll stalk and chase until we take it away, and the other likes it for a little while and then sits and watches his brother run around like a mad thing. It is however one of the few toys that we have that both boys will sit and play with together at the same time.I must say I was sceptical having seen the video in a local department store and certainly wasn't paying what they wanted, but having read the reviews online I thought it was worth a try. It was definitely worth a try!When you turn it on the wand whizzes around at random and at different speeds, pausing and moving unpredictably. There are 4 speeds, slow, medium, high and a mix of the three.My only real complaint is that the wand doesn't attach particularly firmly, and I have to get up fairly regularly to reattach the wand after one of them has got hold of it and pulled if off. A better attachment mechanism would add to the product hugely.It does make a bit of noise, but it's not obtrusive, and the cats pounding around after it make far more noise. So far the batteries have lasted for several hours of use and it seems to be very durable.Only real issue is that the cats sometimes jump on the button and turn it off. Not the end of the world, but a cover, hold switch or just a switch for the on/off/mode would fix the issue.

My kitten loves the toy. The only complaint I have is that the wand attachment keeps falling out of the socket so I have to keep reattaching it.EDIT:The initial review is still valid but just wanted to add: I had only used the toy for a few days when I wrote the first review but after using it for a while now - Well, it's REALLY annoying having to keep reattaching the wand. Buffy still loves the toy but the wand has never kept attached for more than 10 minutes. It usually falls off within a few minutes of switching it on. It's still a brilliant toy so I would definitely recommend purchasing it. When it works, Buffy will not stop playing with it :-) But I do believe that this particular issue could be easily rectified by the manufacturer (and reading the other reviews, I don't seem to be the only one with this problem).

My 2 cats adore this toy, regularly sitting next to it & meowing until it's turned on. It's great that you can turn it on as you leave the house and know it automatically shuts off after 30 mins. My two figured out how to pull the wand out completely very quickly, so have to fix it every time they play. Unfortunately the motor has given up after less than 2 months of use ... I now have 2 very sad cats, and will probably have to keep buying and replacing every time it breaks. Great toy, but poor build quality if it completely breaks after 6 weeks

This was so misleading :PUpdate: Charged fully, went blue but never worked with meow toy. Made two separate orders one for this, though I was expecting cat meow toy, and one for cat toy that it was 'meant' to work for. When I removed the USB and entered again it treated the battery as flat LOL and stayed red like for ages. The cat toy itself never worked even with regular batteries. It was from the same MUSE company and I have a feeling these were previously returned due to the nature of them.Such a shame too, was looking forward to getting a few of these to make a maze, due to the mess up, bad description and double faulty product I wont be getting a replacement from the same company.

Bought this for my young rescue cat who has had to stay indoors for a few weeks awaiting her spay op....she's been so bored and absolutely loved this when it arrived, chasing it around for ages! Sadly however, just a week and a half in and it has stopped working...the motor runs but it no longer spins. Doesn't seem to relate to a specific incident, it worked fine then just wouldn't spin the next time it was put on. Real shame as was providing some much needed exercise and entertainment.

It keeps the 2 cats amused for about 10 minutes at a time and then I put it away for a couple of days. After 3 sessions the 3 'C' batteries have slowed down and I can see that this could turn into an expensive toy in the long run. It is well made and withstands the cats pouncing on it and pulling at it, so in that respects 5 stars.

i brought expensive batteries for this they dont last long in it my two indoor cats do love this but got wise to it very quickly and out there paw and sat next to it to stop it from moving like there in control !!! had to move few times and there trying catch it again :-)

Got this to get some energy off my dog during her mad half hour. It worked a charm, she is besotted with it every time its on, and the random setting is a blessing as it keep her occupied for longer; so she's not under my feet when I'm cooking etc. It was delivered late but this was not a problem.
