Test, test, test for leaks before you go underwater
After some research, I was in a dilemma if I should spend more than my camera and lens for cases like Nauticam or Aquatica or go cheap like Sea Frogs. I wanted to protect my expensive gear. Then, I found H2Oinsurance which covers scuba gear. So I decided to go with Sea Frogs and have my camera replaced in the worst case scenario.Sea Frog worked great in my recent dive trip. I watched the videos to clean and silicone lube the seals. I got the vaccuum kit and tested for about an hour and there was no leak. Then I did a water test without the camera for the same amount of time. Again, no leak. With the 6" dome port and f/2.8 16-35mm GM lens, I still had to zip tie a 2 lb weight at the bottom of the case. It worked out great for me.Now, the buttons can be a bit limiting as you can only access one of the custom dials. The more expensive cases have their upsides for sure but do you want to pay 2 to 3K more? I think it'd be nice to have access to all the buttons and dials especially for manual shootings but for now, I don't feel like paying more so Sea Frogs is great. If you're worried about leaks, know that it's up to you to inspect and test the seals before you put in expensive gear regardless of the case you buy. Sea Frogs is well made. Does it look like it will defect under pressure? No, I don't think so and it didn't leak for me. I was at 90 feet max depth this last trip. Will I recommend it, yes. If you shoot manual and can spend more, look into Nauticam or Aquatica though.

Would never recommend unless you want to destroy your $2k camera.
So amazon deleted my first review - for some reason it went against "community guidelines" so I'm guessing the seller was able to dispute my review. Unfortunately, this product is defective and leaky. We tried to do everything to ensure it was fully sealed, but the parts do not line up correctly (lens + body) so there is a slow leak between the two. We tried everything, including waterproof lubrication used for scuba diving and that didn't work either. also, the dials do not line up correctly and therefore the camera just works in one setting. Don't buy this. They say you get what you pay for...and you certainly do with this product since its about half the cost of every other product.

Fantastic housing
I had doubts since this housing was so cheap, but it was magnificent. Once I figured out how to put the camera in, every button worked properly. I could easily manipulate the menu and review shots while on the boat between jumps. I could adjust every setting (except the front wheel, but I never use it since I would never shoot manual underwater). The shots were clear and gorgeous, and I saved about $2k. Highly recommend the vacuum pump that indicates a good seal, even though the housing has a water detector inside. If the water gets in, you’ve already lost!

Killed my $2200 Sony A7 iii my fourth time out.
I tested this device without the camera in pool. No problem. With camera in pool, no leak. The controls mostly worked. Took it out to shoot an event for the first time outside of the pool. When trying to deploy the camera, my ISO setting was going haywire scrolling through all of the options. After taking the camera out and in three times I finally got it to stay put. Two more times I took the housing and camera out for shoots and no problems. Today the fourth time using it (always checking the seal all the way around before I go in the water) and it worked for a few minutes and all of a sudden I feel the whole thing vibrate and the camera goes black. Dreading the worst I swim to shore and find a couple of inches of water collected in the lens area and the camera soaked with salt water and dead. Amazon was nice enough to give me an 80% refund but still dinged me with a 20% restocking fee since I was outside of the 30 return period. Not sure what they're restocking since I returned a defective device. Sorry I couldn't go on my trip within 30 days (it was like 40) before really putting it to the test. Still waiting to see what happens with my camera. At least I had insurance on it.Update: the seller was kind of enough to work with Amazon to get the remainder of my refund back. Thank you! They said they will inspect the device to see what cause the malfunction and asked that I had reached out to them regarding the issue.

Kept the camera dry!!
Loved the fact that it kept our Sony A7iii safe from ocean water. We got pounded by waves and even fell on it when a big wave knocked us over during filming .It was hard to see the screen through the housing due to reflection but I don’t think that can be helped in night sunlight and reflection .

Can’t wait to go on vaca with this!!!!
Headed to Moorea and can’t wait to use this! Tested it at home and everything seems very secure. Only complaint is that it’s very hard to turn the selectors at the top (e.g from auto to anything else or vice versa). I will come back here to post example photos after the trip!
