We have just replaced this after only 12 MTHS because it was saturated. It is slightly on the large side too so doesn't sit into the pipe very well. It seems to work well in preventing odours from the tank as we sit out on the terrace next to it. However we notice the new filter also seems saturated and unsure why hence only 3 stars this time.

I bought the studor doodads for my stink pipe. This is the filter that goes in it. It works wonderfully. Before we had this the odor from the septic would be omnipresent. With this we have been in the clear for over 2 years. Only problem is the filters are hard to find. Update: filter still hard to find. This price is insane. The whole studor contraption is cheaper than the filter.

These things are awesome. But if it’s priced anything over 30$ your better off just buying a hole new unit that comes with the filter.
