A Taste of Italy: Authentic Italian Recipes Kindle Edition

There is a wide range of recipes. The instructions are clear. No nutritional facts for the recipes. There are very few pictures. I look forward to trying several of these recipes.

If you are looking for a modern basic Italian cookbook that includes easy variations this is the book. I may have to buy this book in print so I can make notes in the margins of what we like. I recalled buying some of the street food in Rome and now my mouth is watering for my own version.

So many recipes - I want to make them all! Little snippets of Italian food history adds to the interesting and varied recipes that go from appetizers to desserts. My new go-to cookbook for dining Italia!!

There is a very good variety of Italian dishes, with easy to follow directions, with fairly easy to find ingredients.

The recipes are not the novelty Italian dishes of nouvelle cuisine but are genuine ones of taste that represent true Italian cooking - from the essentials to preparing different pasta dishes right up to those of preparing desserts. There are no difficult directions and unknown ingredients. Divided into the different categories the recipe index starts off with Antipasto followed by Bread making, then Rice dishes, Gnocchi, Chicken and Seafood, Turkey and Veal, Pasta and Sauces, Beef, Pork and Sausages, Pizza and Calzones, Egg dishes, Soup, Vegetables and Desserts.I found it to be a very good recipe book that opens just a fraction of the world of Italian cuisine. Recipes are genuine and well researched. My only grouch is that there are not many photographs to accompany the recipes. Other than that it is a perfect gift for those who love Italian cuisine. I have only taken a quick look at some of the recipes. I can hardly wait to try them. I love the fact that I can have this on my iPad !
