Liked so much I bought another for our second home
Used on my side of the bed - can't sleep well without it. I am a disabled vet and the comfort of the weight, and the "feel" of security because of the weight, really helps me get a reasonable nights sleep or nap. Very good quality and price too. Thank you.

product is exactly as describe
I like everything about this product. I have suffered from severe insomnia since my husband died a year ago. Literally have tried everything from melatonin to essential oils and NOTHING helped until I bought this. I am consistently getting 6-7 straight hours of sleep and being woken up by my alarm clock in the morning now. The loops and ties to anchor the weighted blanket inside the removable (for washing) covers is a great feature! It keeps the blanket weight evenly distributed inside the duvet.

Cooler maybe... but not cool
I am enjoying my weighted blanket. But nobody should expect to be cool under a weighted blanket unless maybe they spend over $500 for one that uses a pump to circulate air through the blanket. Any blanket, but especially a weighted one, will hold your body heat under it. However, the cool cover available with this one does have some advantages. The side facing away from the body feels cool like silk, even after I've been sleeping under it all night. The side facing toward the body is warmer, but definitely not as hot and sweaty as a fleece cover would be, or even a cotton one. It does appear to do something to wick away moisture and dissipate some heat. Traditionally, I am a hot sleeper but I did not find this blanket unbearable. Also, most times, I will drape the blanket over just my hips and stomach or over my shoulders and chest. That way I get the comfort of the compression where I need it without feeling smothered. On really cold nights (here in southeast Louisiana we only have about 2 or 3 of those per year) I will cover up more. I cannot bear to have that weight on my feet, though.I knew I wasn't going to be comfortable with full coverage, so I only bought a kids blanket, twin size with 10 lb capacity. It gives me the right mix of comfort from compression while keeping the rest of my body cooler. I could maybe have tolerated more weight (although not as much as their chart suggests for my body weight), but this was fine for starters. I am happy with it. And the price was good, since I was getting a smaller size and weight. Also, the cover has multiple strong tie-down points inside, which keeps the blanket centered within the cover. This is essential. Just ask anyone who has purchased a duvet cover without tie-downs, only to find their comforter bunching down and puddling at the bottom of the cover.I haven't noticed any sand or debris coming from the blanket like another reviewer experienced. And the beads seem to stay evenly distributed across the blanket. One thing to note with the cool cover. It has a silky texture to it. If you let it extend over the side of the bed, the weight eventually could pull the blanket off of you and onto the floor. I awoke in the middle of the night, startled by the feeling of something heavy sliding across my body and off the bed. Still worth it. I just have to be a little more careful about how I position it on the bed.

My daughter loves this
My daughter sleeps with it very night. Quilting helps keep the weight distributed nicely.

It helps me sleep, simple as that
I was both curious and skeptical about the utility of weighted blankets/comforters, but a recent Amazon sale convinced me to at least give it a try.I won't say it changed everything, but I'll admit it does make it easier for me to fall asleep. Took about a week or two to adjust to the way it felt... the 1st night, I actually think I struggled against the weight because I had a few sore muscles in the morning. But that didn't happen again. Since then, it's been more like a feeling of being swaddled or tucked in.I sleep hot, so yes, more often than not, by morning I've pushed aside the weighted blanket but that's not the point. The real point is it helped me fall asleep in the 1st place, and for a chronic insomniac like myself, that's kind of a big deal. I did replace the standard cover with the "cooler" one and it's better. I wouldn't term this blanket to be "cooling", but it does take quite some time to heat up. The one main hassle was after I washed the cover for the 1st go, it took a lot of effort to retie the inner bead-enclosed part inside the cover. It's quite clumsy. But once done, it seems to stay put pretty well.I'd say the main thing about a weighted blanket or comforter is don't get one that's too big. If it hangs very far over the edge or foot of your bed, normal nighttime movement will cause it to fall off. I'm using one that's "just big enough" and it usually stays put (until I push it away).Pros:- Weight does remain pretty evenly distributed, although if too much goes over the side or foot, it can pull away. Occasionally I've found the blanket seemed to be heavier on one side or the other. Not a deal-breaker, but it needed adjusting.- Doesn't get hot very fast, but it will warm after enough hours of being under it- After 2-3 nights, the weight becomes quite comforting; I actually look forward to it- It's even nice to use on a recliner or sofa, as I've tried a few times- Manufacturing quality seems good- No bad odors that I noticed, beyond the usual "new fabric" smells; a single laundering of the cover took care of thatCons:- Not very easy to put the blanket back inside the comforter cover once removed.- Be nice if there were more colors; my bedding is maroon but that's not an available option for this blanketWould I buy again? Yes. Would I recommend it to others? Yes, particularly if it on sale. Advice I'd give: Be sure to get the right weight and size for your bed situation.

This blanket has improved my sleep
This is my first weighted blanket, one I ordered after reading many reviews. I chose the Degrees of Comfort blanket, 48" x 72", 15 pounds. It comes with a plush cover for colder temperatures and a polyester/cotton cover. The plush cover makes it quite warm but I have adjusted to it by not having it right up to my neck. I do have fibromyalgia and wondered if it would be too heavy but I seem to be sleeping soundly, I think it has improved my sleep. It seems to be well made, with zippered opening so you can change the covers and wash them. Pleased that the tan colour turned out to be more of a champagne beige. Attractive.

Great blanket but not so great zipper
My kid loves this blanket he got it for Christmas and this morning (Jan 20) I noticed the zipper is broken already. Would have liked to get a replacement blanket but don’t see an option for that. I suggest making it with buttons instead. It will last longer. Disappointed. Other than the zipper it’s a wonderful blanket
