I'm not a contractor but often I need to measure things around the house or while running errands or shopping, but I don' t want to carry a 16 meter tape measure in my pocket or clipped to me belt.Try finding a small 6' tape measure that's barely larger than a couple inches long and wide, and it's not easy. Some tape measures are inches only, no metric, which is not very convenient and doesn't make sense since there are two sides to the tape.There are those inexpensive tape measures that are round and used for sewing, but they are not rigid and not ideal for measuring stuff.This 6' tape measure checks the boxes for me. It comes with a key ring and chain, but I cut it off because I wanted the cleanest and smallest profile.This a a real and legit tape measure but just smaller and more convenient to carry in your pocket.

I had been looking for a small, easy to store, quality Tape Measure for a while, I purchased this 6 ft clear case, metal tape measure which is easy to to carry in my pocket or glove box or tool bag. The markings are clear and precise the tape lock and retract still works like new. The key ring and belt clip is a bit redundant for me but others who bought one after they saw mine don't think so.

I have bought several. Great to have in the desk or just hanging on a hook. It has been very useful having mm and inches on the same tap. They are not expensive, hopefully, they will hold up.

Its nice, and legible, but sturdy, can't really put in in you keychain, would be too heavy, also the holding is not as in the picture, it comes with a silver cheap regular keychain, the rubber one in the picture was part of why I chose this one over the other options.

I've been needing a new keychain tape measure for quite a while. The numbers were peeling off of my old, cheap one. Most of the truly keychain sized tapes are either cheaply made, or they only have one set of units, US or metric.This tape appears to be well made, and durable. I love that it's double sided. Sometimes, you need to wrap the tape around something, and take a measurement. That'll be so much easier, now. The printing is sharp, and easy to read. I haven't used it enough to be able to tell for certain, but it appears that the paint on the tape is of high enough quality that I shouldn't have to worry about the printing wearing off for quite some time.I like the transparent case. It's fun, and if my tape starts having problems, down the road, I might be able to see the issue without opening the case.The one thing I'm not thrilled about is the sliding lock. It takes a lot of force to slide it. Maybe that's just because it's new, and it's not quite broken in yet. But still, it makes a perfect pocket tape measure just a great one. (A tiny smidge of mineral oil applied to the slide lock channel helps. Just don't get any on the tape.)I wouldn't call this a keychain tape measure. It's just a little too big. I'd call it a pocket tape measure... And yet, I'm so fond of this thing that it's earned a place on my keychain.
