I like these and the size. Thank you so much for making them. Sincerely, Jenniferone order was mixed up with a baking pan that I was canceling, but I re-ordered these blocks right away.

It doesn't appear to be solid wood but more pressed glued sawdust with a fancy front.It works for me a spacer but damn if there's any decent moisture.

Drilled the block into the wall, added a cast iron hook to hold my lodge cast iron skillet from. Its doing a good job two weeks later. Its a solid piece of wood

Decent block, but not "real" wood. It is "particle board" glue wood.5 sides expose the particle stuff (and don't look like "wood")1 side has a veneer so it looks a piece of solid hardwood (though looks a little fake).Seems durable, but soft.Edges are smooth and square.Just know that you're buying particle board with a veneer on 1 side.

I used these as shims under an office table. They are exactly what was advertised. The composite wood is very dense and tough.

On my screen, these blocks looed like wood. When the came, they initially looked like wood with the grain oriented across the width, but there were no rings on the edges. I sawed across one block; it was MDF. Sawdust like powdered sugar. I didn't try screws.
