Gemma GyllingCP Cats: A Complete Guide to Drawing Cats in Colored Pencil

This book has great descriptions, step-by-step tutorials etc on drawing cats in coloured pencils.However, for such an expensive book, I did not expect to have to pay an additional fee (currently $14) to the website to obtain the reference photos for the exercises in the book, without which it would be pretty much impossible to follow along with the tuition in the book. The reference photos given are only about 5 by 5cm size!So bear in mind that you need to budget an additional £10 for the reference photos!

The enormous drawback in this book is that most of the practice material and a lot of the tutorials are painted on suede matboard and it is impossible to draw them any other way. Suede matboard might be a wonderful support but if you can't afford to buy it you won't get much benefit from buying this book

Now this is a good book ,from page one it gives information, help,advice,not many art books go into such depth.I have years if collecting art books ,and this is one of the best ,if your into starting c.p this will be like being with a teacher,even for anyone with ability to use c.p this is a useful book.This book opens up the untold bits ,you can spend years trying to find out.Recommend brill

Great book that will help me to improve my cat portraits, although probably won't follow all the instructions you could work through it all if necessary.
