Dont know how I ever worked without them. yes I bought left and right units.
very easy and well explained installation. Adds a lot of needed secure and dry equipment storage.the fact with the lift of a lever and I can easily remove them is also convenient and amazingly handy.Very well built and fastens very very solidly to truck bed. Definitely getting all the truck owners I know to give them a try.

Can this replace my cross-bed toolbox? Mostly...
I dearly love cross-bed toolboxes, I've used them for years. I recently (April 2021) got a 08 Taco with a nice camper shell, the cross-bed toolbox I have won't work. I thought two Swingcases could replace it. Does it? Mostly. It's a 'one box fits all' design, with multiple brackets for differing trucks. It's really for a shortbed, my 6' bed has the toolbox arch well behind the wheelwell. Here's a couple of install tips for 08 Tacoma. The basic process is first removing the top back Torx screw of the storage cubby (you need a T30 bit) and reattach it with a corresponding part of the hinge bracket. Their are additionally four holes in the hinge bracket you then need to drill into the side of the bed with (included) self-tapping bolts. Once you have the Torx back in, you'll see that the bracket has a little up/down play. Get it lined up, and used two pieces of duct tape (top and bottom) to hold it while you drill. Do NOT buzz it in as fast as you can. Once the drilling part is done and it gets to the threads, STOP DRILLING THEN! Go the rest of the way slowly, with a hand wrench (7/16", I think). If you buzz it hard, you may strip it out then you have bigger problems (you could probably get it riveted). Just snug each one up, until you have all four holes drilled, then tighten by hand. It's a very clever design, there has been one upgrade. I have the newer, changes I know about, the original cupholder on top could hold water, this one has an open side. The newer one also has a hinge lock that keeps the toolbox from being lifted off the hinges. It's plastic, one whack with a hammer will break it. There is additionally still the metal loop you can padlock. The latch itself is plastic, that's one of the first things that may wear out. Two bolts and replaceable, though. As mentioned, the lid hinges are just ABS bending. People have mentioned DIY hinges. There's Youtube videos of a guy filling it with ice and beer for tailgating parties. A drain would be nice if you did that much (easy to add, probably). So, can it replace my cross-bed toolbox? Mostly. In that I carried larger and heavy stuff that won't work in the Swingcase. I always carry a Hi-Lift jack, and chains, straps, axe, saws. No jack in these. The organization possibilities are pretty good. Heavy stuff in the bottom. The ability to swing it out certainly makes it all more accessible than my big toolbox.

Good for temporary Storage
I purchased this because I specifically did not want to keep the items within in my truck 24/7. I use it to store things I need for off-road trips so don't need it all the time. With that said, the box works very well. Once installed, it is easy to remove and there are some locking mechanisms to keep honest people honest.Few things to keep in mindPlastic is relatively thin. If you are in climates where the sun is brutal (Texas, etc.), it won't last long.Locking mechanism for the top gives your OCD peace of mind but won't stop someone who really wants in. I accidentally tripped on mine and the top came open. If you have high-dollar equipment it in, take it into the hotel/camper at night. Removal is really easy and would easily fit on a luggage dolly or be hand-carried.You will have to remove one of the brackets for your bed extender. Because the mounting bracket extends a bit from the truck, the bed extender will no longer fit without some kind of modification that I have yet to figure out.Item comes with self-tapping metal screws so install is easy. However, if these back themselves out in the future, I'll replace with a bolt/nut setup. As of this post, it has been two years with no issues.

Excellent storage box!
Bought both sides of the Undercover Swingbox to go with my Armorflex tonneau cover. Install was easy. Took 20 mins for both. They function great and add a nice space to carry tools and other items. Best of all, they work with my tonneau down. If I need the additional bed space I can pull them out for bigger loads. Excellent product!

Love this thing
I absolutely love this thing, it allows me to store a bunch of smaller items in the box without having them flying all over the place and allows me to lock them up to prevent theft. The extra lock that this came with to lock the entire thing on to prevent removal while still allowing it to swing is excellently designed too, I was really impressed by that. It's definitely an improvement over the older solution that a lot of people in the reviews mention. The only really bad thing that I can say about it is that the lid has a large "tray" type indent in it which is likely meant for temporarily holding objects like tools, but all it tends to do for me is fill up with water when it rains which is really annoying because then when I go to open it I need to try not to get the water all over the objects inside the swingcase and anything I may have in my truck bed. I could have done without that indent in the lid of the case, it's completely unnecessary and annoying in my opinion. I'm still giving this 5 stars but that issue with the lid should really be fixed.

You DO need a drivers side bed storage box.
I gave the product a 1star review because at the time of writing this the description and pictures show the wrong item. Unlike other swing cases the drives side one does not fit unless you have the drivers side storage box. Not all Tacomas come with this. This is cause it uses the factory bolts. The product cannot sit flush ( do to the shape of the standard bed) to allow for you to make you own holes. I have to return it. The box seems durable and the lock is ok. The product allows for most bed covers so the security doesnt need to be as good when used as intended. Over all good products but bad description.
