just had wished the product was weather resistant..who puts up an electric fence line "IN THEIR HOUSE?"I had to buy a seperate waterproof box.Another thing the electic cord is not a grounded cord.could have been made better. for this and the fact I need this (who wouldn't) for outdoor use. I give itonly 4 stars.UPDATE: I got the water proof box, had to cut a slight whole in it or else it groundedits self. Then I got a 3 prong extension cord and put it into the box ( tight fit ) and caulked aroundthe opening (don't caulk around the wires of the fencing ) then I simply plugged it in..works GREAT ! my dog won't go near the fence in fact I use some "dummy" wire and polesand the dog won't go near them either ! only took about a week for him to stay away from thefence. quite actually I don't even need to turn it on anymore. IT WAS A LIFE SAVER my dogcould dig under my 6 foot privacy fence in about 10 seconds and that is NOT A JOKE !so I can literally say it saved his life from running away, or worse.. running into the street!I highly recommend it IF YOU'RE HANDY ! just took a little imagination on how to configure itfor "outside use" dI will change it to 4 stars now that I used a little imagination and configured a greatlarge home yard set up. remember it's only enough for rabbits ect. I am not afraid to grab it to makesure it's working it feels like a 9 volt battery to your tongue is about all the harm it does. also keeps other critters out of my yard !

The unit is very plug and play, easy to set up. I used an old lawnmower blade as a ground post. Plugged it in and tried it out. I held my leg against the wire it was a similar shock as to what you expect to get from electrical static. It was very mild. The dogs tried it out and it gave them a little shock. They each tested the fence once or twice and haven't gone near it since. Problem solved no more digging in the flower beds. I should mention our dogs are Pomeranian and yorkie. Not large dog breed by any stretch of the imagination and it didn't harm them.

Not very strong dogs go right through good for rabbits

I bought this for our small pond to protect our fish from the raccoons and cranes from eating our fish......It did it's purpose and is working well. Our fish is growing and we don't see raccoons roaming our yard anymore.

I have used this to run over the top of my fence with my horses and boy do they know what it is all about. It has worked very well for me.

Works as advertised.Used it to train our Airedale not to snatch stuff off the kitchen counter.Had to tape two bare copper wires about 1 inch apart down the front edge of the counter & connect to unit.No more problems!Now we removed the wires, but we can put them back if we ever need to.

Developed a loud buzz shortly after plugging it in. So I returned it to Amazon. Also not a very strong charge, so needs a particularly good ground.

Decent product. I installed it to ward off the raccoons. Produces about 600v. Don't know if it's enough to deter the critters, but so far it's been okay.

Was not as described for indoor use only ads specifically says outdoor.

I am very satisfied with the product. Was successful in getting rid of Raccoons from my back yard.
