I've been using these note books for sketching for a while now. For the amount of money you spend on these two note books it is amazing and the design and ease of use is spectacular.PROS:- The A5 size is a perfect notebook size that can fit in your backpack, briefcase or hand carry.- Easy to tear each page if you need to remove it from the note book.- The dotted grid lends a lot of freedom to sketch unlike solid grid lines but this is a preference.- The wire ring bind was a conscious decision for me because sketching requires for me to open the book fully without crumpling the paper and it definitely handles that well.CONS:- The paper thickness is quite thin, so using sketch pens will seep through to the other side meaning heavy inks should be avoided.- The wire bind is fully enclosed meaning your standard ballpoint pens will fit perfectly, but anything thicker will not fit, however I found that most pens will have a clip side so you can stick that onto plastic cover.OVERALL:- Works best as a written notebook 5/5- As a sketchbook the paper needs to be slightly thicker for heavier inks. I would be willing to pay more money for it and for lesser pages. 4/5- The wire bind - instead of fully enclosed can be open wire binding. 4/5- Design aesthetic and comfort. 5/5- Delivery time. 5/5TOTAL = 4.6/5
