Had to repair both of them because the stop screws fell out after a couple of trips out on the water.

I’ve had three of these cleats fail in the last 3 boat outings. The pop up part just comes flying out of the base and into the water, so I can’t even determine the reason for failure. I installed these cleats with red loctite, so my guess is the retaining bolts are stripping out of the cleat itself.Also of note, the support page on the store site is conveniently down, and the phone number listed doesn’t work. STAY AWAY!!

Good Cleat. Heavy duty. Please, check the allen head screws inside the cleat. 1 of mine came with the allen screw loose in the package, all of the other screws were considerably loose. Used a 7/8 inch hole saw to cut the holes & a 34 mm automotive socket to tighten the hold down nuts. Very solid & seemed to be well made, do not have the boat in the water now.

Not worth it, buy a better product. NOT 316 stainless. I have had them on the boat for 1 month and they have rust that is bleeding into the gel coat. I have lost the small screws for the keepers on 2 of 3 installed of the cleats from regular boat use.2 out of 8 cleats are easy to pull up. The other 6 require a screw driver or something to help pry them up initially, they are really sticky in the collapsed position.

The cleat pulled clear out of the base on the first boat trip!Nuts on the bottom fell out on my first time using the boat rendering cleats useless.Not sure if they can be repaired, but I'm sure I shouldn't have to repair them after one use!
