The only thing wrong with this coffee/cocktail table is that the price is a bit hefty. It is made well by todays standards, but we all know the markup on furniture of any kind is way over the top and this table is no exception. I've had some very nice compliments on it so far and it seems to be a pretty stellar purchase. It needs to be said that I can't normally recommend anything made by Ashley furniture, because most of what they sell is poorly made and brings to mind the kind of bargain basement junk you would have found at Wickes or Levitz back in the 80's. Keep in mind that you cannot place a centerpiece in the 'center'. The middle hinge for the storage compartment prevents anything from being able to sit flat there. I confess, it bugs me a little, but the tradeoff is the very convenient storage, so it works out. If you're on the fence about purchasing this table, the only thing you need to think about is how to pay for it, because it is easy to assemble, looks great, hides living room clutter (blankets, throws, pillows, games, toys, etc.) and the lift section is great for a work surface. The wood top is real wood and it's pretty thick. Even if you ding the surface, I believe it will still look great because it's already rustic looking, but it exudes class, too. It's a great choice if any of those things are factors in helping you decide. I'm glad I got mine.

I absolutely love this! It is rustic, chic piece. It was so easy to put together and it is quality. I love the size- it is bigger than expected and makes a great staple piece for a living room. I also love the pull up table feature!

I recently purchased the Farmhouse Square Coffee Table with Lift Top. I'm quite impressed. It’s beautiful! Assembly was somewhat straightforward and the only hard part is figuring out how to install those hinges!! I went through the reviews and no one gave any pictures or directions. So, I decided to help the next person by including instructions on the pictures that I took. Basically, line up the pieces that say “L” and you’ll see the tiny holes for the hinges labeled “L”. Then use the tiny black screws to screw the hinges on. Then do the same for “K”. I didn’t need any special tools other than a screwdriver. The grayish-brown finish adds a nice rustic touch to my living room, and it blends perfectly with my other furniture. It’s a very natural taupe color. Other reviews mentioned that it has a green color but that isn’t true at all. It’s pretty heavy but I was able to carry each piece up 2 flights of stairs by myself. One of my favorite features is the lift-top design. It’s great for storing blankets, books, and even the kids' toys, keeping things tidy and organized. I also love that it can double as a small dining table when I’m enjoying a snack or working on my laptop. The construction feels sturdy, and it seems like it can hold up to everyday use without any issues. This is a very sturdy table and doesn’t wobble. Overall, I think this coffee table is a fantastic blend of style and functionality. If you're looking for something practical yet stylish, I would definitely recommend it!

This coffee table ended up being a great purchase for us. The price on Amazon was noticeably lower than buying direct, and assembly was much easier than expected. It came very well packaged — almost excessively — but everything arrived in perfect shape. The farmhouse style looks really nice, and my wife was very happy with how it fits into our living room. The distressed white finish matches the other tables we have from the same collection, and the colors are consistent across the set. The lift-top hinges work smoothly and hold the lids up without any issues. The storage space is very useful, and we’re using it for blankets, which keeps things tidy. The tabletop feels sturdy, and while the table isn’t overly heavy, it stays put and doesn’t feel flimsy. If I had to nitpick, the distressed look may not appeal to everyone, but that’s personal preference and part of the design. Overall, it’s high quality, well made, a great value for the price, and definitely worth the cost.

This lift top coffee table was well packaged. Assembly was a breeze. All accessories and tool were included. No damages. Nice cosmetic finish. Inside storage large enough for bed pillows and/or large blankets. Mechanics for the tilt table are sturdy so should never collapse while in use. Great product, great price.

Black in color with dark wood top. I love the metal accent pieces to add character. The top works easily and assembly wasn't too bad. Everything was included in. The box to assemble. Sturdy and quality as Ashley furniture usually is. Easy to move around also. Very happy!

Going on 6 years with this coffee table and matching end tables, it still looks as good as new. We live on a farm, with an indoor dog and two elementary age kids and the top still lifts as expected. I did not imagine these tables to last as long as they have but I’ve been super impressed. These furniture items are well worth the money I spent. I would absolutely recommend.

This coffee table is a 5 star for sure. Its not difficult to assemble and its perfect for a farmhouse or Southwestern design. It's versatile and can be used to create different decor styles. Quality is 100%. If anything were to be flawed with the coffee table it would have to be due to the shipping experience. Love this coffee table, 10 out of 10!!

Unfortunately seam joint is opening and table is beginning to warp. We hope a replacement is on its way,and then we can return damaged table. Absolutely love the coffee table. Hopefully no more problems.

Perfect table, it’s wood not cloth or vinyl so cat can’t scratch it, lots of storage, nice rustic look. Looks nicer than the pic and easy to put together even for people who don’t like to follow instructions like me.

We love it! A great looking coffee table and it is sturdy! Should last us a good long time. Pretty simple to put together. We're loving the storage. Only one little issue. The hinges for the top are not embedded/countersunk, so they stick up and create an uneven surface. The hinges give it a rustic look. We recommend.

Missing most of hardware, box was previously reopened before it got to me.

It was very easy to put together, I did it on my own. Great for storage, it holds two comforters, two pillows, and an extra blanket. Love the lift top, I use it for meals and sometimes work at it as well. The caution label is kind of annoying, but I honestly don't really see it, because either the top is down, and so it's completely covered. Or the top is up, but I can't see it when I'm seated.
