All of our muscle and organ meats are chopped (not ground) partially frozen at the time of processing to ensure the availability of the highest quality nutrients, then individually quick frozen to keep the integrity of the ingredient quality. Our recipes are very simple, Chicken and Turkey Recipes use muscle meat, organ meats and natural raw ground bone, all from the same species. No added fruits or vegetables. A true carnivore diet! All products are produced in our own certified and inspected USDA, FDA, FSIS manufacturing facility. All poultry products are HPP'd for safety.

I talked to my cats and they said they really like this stuff. I was getting Stella's version and while it was good, the pellets were a little hard. This brand is softer and easier for the cats to eat and for me to break them up as a flavor topper for their regular food.By the way, all this stuff about hard food cleaning teeth is malarky in my opinion. Cats don't "chew" their food. In the wild, they tear it apart with pointy little teeth and basically swallow chunks of it (and then often throw up because they can't digest big pieces). I feed our cats soft food (canned) and if it is chunky, I throw it into a blender so it is more like pate'. That greatly reduces the vomiting adventures and when they drink water, it has a better chance of rinsing small particles from their teeth.That's probably more than you want to know, but...

Kitty Help for Food Allergy!
This product was recommended to me by a holistic vet, after I took my kitty in for sores around her face. (Previously, I was told it was due to a fungal infection by a traditional vet and treated with steriods.) This time (with the holistic vet) I was told to switch the food immediately, and wait at least 3 weeks to compare any changes. Well, it did take longer to notice a difference, but it was partly to do with me and product availability. I couldn't find it sold in my town so I bought another product Nulo Freestyle. The problem I later realized was the ingredients are different and my cat was still having a reaction. So, back to Northwest Naturals... and with great success. After giving it another 3-4 weeks, all the sores are healing up or are completely gone. I will mention that I also tried raw turkey and raw salmon and my cat would not eat it, so it was not an option. And best thing yet my kitty is happy!

My cat loves this
I am trying to feed my cats more of a raw diet and my two cats both like this but one LOVES it. He always jumps on the counter and rubs against me purring when I start to fix his dish. I buy other flavors in this brand as well. Make sure you hydrate before feeding because I think a lot of cats kidney issues are from low hydrating from typical cat food and dry food diets. Kidneys need hydration to work properly.

Healthy cat food that my cats love@
I was using a different brand of freeze dried raw cat food Stella & Chewy's. But I have switched to Northwest Naturals because my cats like this brand even better. And the ingredients are excellent and very healthy as is true for Stella & Chewy's. I would GREATLY APPRECIATE IT if you would add this item to Subscribe & Save as I will be buying this on a regular basis THANK YOU!!

Had to dump them .
The cats love this brand when they’re fresh. These were dark, hard and so dried up even warm water couldn’t revive them. Old or heat damaged somehow.

the best freeze dried i have found. stella and cheweys made my cat constipated so i would have to add psyllium husk but northwest has added stuff, just enough, to help my cat poop without straining.
