76mm Luggage Wheel Replacement, Suitcase Wheels 76x24mm with 40mm Axle

Wheels are great. They were easy to replace. They survived a 14 day trip to Greece.

Aside from deterioration of one of the factory wheels, the bag is still in decent shape (despite having it since 2011). Ten minute job to yank and replace the old wheels. I was able to use the factory axle and I only needed a single washer to eliminate a slight side-to-side shimmy. Rolls nicely on hardwood. I'm looking forward to the acid test (i.e., long-term parking to terminal at AGS; drag-along in ATL and LGA). I believe the new wheels will do well; I'll update when I have live-fire experience.

Worked well on travel pro crew rollerboard. Very quick and easy repair. I reused my original pins even though those included in the kit were the correct length and size.

This is a generic skate wheel. I am not sure if this is a good skatewheel, but I decide to use it for the worn out Tumi Tech carryon bag. The reason that I chose this wheel was the size (76mm OD and 6mm ID shaft). The challenge was 1) the bearing sleeve from the bag extended out too long (about 1.5mm) to make this wheel to be positioned to be in the center of the wheel housing space and 2) the axle came with the wheel was too short (40mm). It needs at least 60mm shaft. I found a close enough bolt (M6-65mm, Hillman 6mm x 65mm Zinc-Plated Fine Thread Hex Bolt) at Lowes and had to cut about 7mm to make it work. If I could find 55mm to 60mm bolt, the cut was not necessary. The bolt had about an inch tread and that was perfect for my use of this bolt for the axle. However, due to the sleeve issue, I had to cut about 1.5mm off and it worked perfect. Now the bag has 76mm standard skate wheel and it could be change out anytime with a standard 75-76mm skate wheel. The wheel looks and works great now.

Took longer to get the broken wheels off than mounting these replacements. Suitcase rolls great now.

Don't really need them as the luggage I was putting them on I couldn't get off without buying a dremel drill to get off but I will keep for a rainy day they look solid..

Replaced the wheels on my TravelPro6 suitcase that I have had for years. The repair was super simple and my suitcase feels new again! A lot better than spending $300+ on a new suitcase!
