I used these on and off for 4 days last year then tried using them again today. Changed the batteries in both the remote and candles and nothing. Waste of money unless you just want to look at them without them being on.I purchased the dark gray/black. Each candle needs 3 AAA batteries. It comes with a remote to control on/off, dimming, and candle flickering. I have not been able to turn the candle flickering on or off but that is not a problem for me, and cannot imagine why you would want it off. I only plan to use these on occasion or during power outages. The color is spot on and the fixture I purchased them for made it really more beautiful. I do wish they could be purchased individually as well since I would have preferred to have had 3 of the taller one. Thought it might be tricky to set up with the remote, but no! Super easy, the AAA's will last quite awhile due to the LED's in the candles, and when they are on, they look completely real.
