LS-224D/BRZ Banker's Lamp, Dark Bronze with Frost Glass Shade

This is a nice quality unit, with an attractive look and a good heft to it. I have a CFL bulb in it, and the shade does a good job of putting the light where you want it, while keeping it out of your eyes. Aesthetics-wise, it would look better with a wider shade, and usage wise, I wish it had sockets for two bulbs, one on each side of the stand. But for a basic desk light it does a good job, and looks right at home on my roll-top desk.My one complaint is with the pull-chain. It has a pretty powerful spring, with heavy ball at the end. If you are in a hurry and pull the string down, then let go, the ball will shoot up into the glass shade. I’ve attached a picture to show what can happen.I can recommend this item if you are always mindful of releasing the chain softly and not simply letting go.

I ordered this as a graduation gift for my niece and she loves it. I did inspect it and there is a bubble flaw in the glass shade, but it's not too noticeable and she didn't care. I think the base on this one is a little fancier than the other models I saw, and the curved post looks nicer to me as well. I just ordered another one for myself.

I love it. It sits next to an older white one with frosted glass, which looks a bit nicer, but most are smooth glass. I love the White especially! The look is not as common as green. The base is a bronze color. I think most people would find this functional as a reading lamp, desk lamp, nightstand lamp. It’s great looking too.

This is an attractive lamp and is nicely weighted and balanced. It's also a good size for a bedside table. The lampshade is substantial and gives off a good amount of soft light. The pull apparatis is smooth and works well. The lamp I received had chipped paint on the base which showed base metal beneath. The metal frame that holds the lampshade was crooked. Not crazy about the paint over base metal, but had it not been chipped and had the framing been straight I would have kept it. It's going back. Quality not what I expected.

Love this item. Looks great on my desk. Works well with Phillips energy saving light bulbs. The cost of shipping to Kuwait was minimum. The item arrived broken. Was contacted by Fedex agent before the sent item to me. I contacted Amazon who promptly refunded my payment including shipping fees. I reordered again and the lamp arrived about four or five days after, minus the shipping cost. Very happy and satisfied customer with both product and customer service.

Although the color is a little off; it is a nice lamp.

Thought the base would be a bit lighter....it's a really really deep dark color.Love the glass shade and that it is white instead of green like most other banker lamps.Very heavy base. Nicely made...worth the money!

Three weeks after I ordered this lamp, it arrived at my house with the glass shade broken. After talking to three different people on the invoice, they agreed to send me a replacement shade. Two weeks later that arrived--broken! I took a picture, and they agreed to send me another one. That one arrived intact (again, two weeks later), but it is almost impossible to get a new shade on, as you have to flex the metal without breaking the glass. As I was trying to perform this task, under the pressure of the metal, the glass shade BROKE! They can keep their money-- I'm not wasting any more time with them.
