What does it hang from ?

You can hang it anywhere you want. We recommend hanging it on a sunny window, when the sunlight passes through it will form a rainbow spot projection

I just got mine today but it’s barely 5.5 inches not 6.7 as advertised!?

I have it hanging from a small candle lamp in my bathroom. You could also use a suction cup and hang it in a window as a suncatcher.
