Just Buy One!
I want to give this product 4.5 stars, but will report 5 because my deductions are purely subjectively due to aesthetics. I saw this on Shark Tank and really fell in love with the pitch. I live in Alaska and have been meaning to get a SAD lamp since I first came here in 2006, but never got around to it. Somehow seeing it on ST motivated me to hop on Amazon and buy one. I ordered the Luxy light for the size and portability. Iโm a primary care nurse and spend half my day at my desk when Iโm not attending to patients. My desk is right next to a large window, which is lovely to look out during the summer months, but hard on me in the dark morning when the sun wonโt rise until 12:30 PM come December. I brought my Luxy to work last week and have noticed a big difference in how I perform in the mornings. My attitude is improving and it also helps me stay alert when Iโm getting sleepy in the afternoon. I like that itโs super small and doesnโt take up any room at all really on my desk. The size is also impressive considering it has the same amount of amps as other light therapy amps that are way bigger and clunkier. I plan to buy another one for the bedroom to help me get ready in the mornings before I head to work. My only real criticism is that I find the orange accent on the lamp a little off putting. The lamp is supposed to be therapeutic and the orange flash is distracting. I would highly recommend this to anyone in need of a SAD lamp. My coworkers seem to have already come on board and a few have bought some for themselves. Great product.

Increased Energy During Night Shift
Pros: Small, compact size, easy to set up on a desk. Length of cord allows for easy plugin to computer or outlets nearby. Dimmer function allows you to ease into it if you're new, gradually getting brighter as you get used to it (which may take one or two uses). Cons: None that I've seen so far, seems to work fine and get the job done. Testimonial: I work night shift at an ER. Usually by the wee hours of the morning I"m 3-4 coffees in and still yawning and nodding off. I've been using this just over a week now and already see a difference. I'm still sleepy (who wouldn't be at 2am?) but able to function off less and less caffeine, and seeing a positive incline in focus during work! My sleep at home is improved, and I'm starting to fall asleep faster and deeper for longer periods of time according to my Fitbit. Be aware it took a time or two to get used to the brightness (after all, it's not a lava lamp) and you can expect a small headache for a few minutes when you first use it, but my body adapted positively to it and I've seen good results so far!

Compact But Not Cordless
This is a nice compact size and does its job. I thought it was cordless and it could be taken with you easier. It is not. It must be plugged in. For it's small size, cordless and chargeable would have been nice!

I like it & Worth the reasonable price.
Love this light. Very easy to use, portable, convenient, bright, not hot. I plug it into an electrical outlet by the sofa and have it on when I catch up on the morning news. Boyfriendโs cat loves it (will take my seat by the light if I get up). Regarding benefits.... Iโm a scientist who studied circadian rhythms as part of my PhD years ago and they do exist, are definitely impacted by light-dark cycles, impact health, and the light dark impacts release of many hormones. Iโm skeptical and so withhold judgement awhile as to if this light helps, but it doesnโt hurt and for the price, is worth a try. I definitely suffer from the fall time change and shorter daylight hours.... poor sleep, low energy, blah feeling. Since we turned the clocks forward, I had not slept soundly a single night... restless, only about 3 hours sleep per night, and I wanted to hibernate. This is typical of my experience every year at this time. However after one day of using the light, I slept extremely well, 8 hours straight, and felt refreshed. I was not expecting to have a change after one use and it could just be coincidental.... not a scientific study at all. Regardless, I do think the bright light that is produced is pleasant and helps me get going during these gloomy days. I think it is worth trying.

very bright, super portable, USB-powered!
Very nice, almost overwhelmingly bright on high setting, and an excellent value. My primary reasons for purchasing this little light were that it's USB-powered and very compact in size. I got it to complement a jet-lag pre-adaptation plan. I also do a lot of off-grid 'glamping lite' in a travel trailer, and so having USB-powered everything gives me a lot more flexibility. While I am not taking off any stars for these few small design elements, I feel they are worth mentioning: The touch power button on the back of the unit is very sensitive, so it's easy to accidentally turn the lamp on, off, or to a different intensity level. Also, the power button's program makes no sense, cycling through off-high-medium-low-off. It would make a lot more sense for gradually increasing intensity, say after waking, for its program to be off-low-medium-high-off, or even better off-low-medium-high-medium-low-off. Finally, the lack of a diffusing opaque layer in front of the LEDs and the use of small reflectors on each LED means very high point intensity - you will see a retinal after-image if you look at the light straight-on (probably true of any 10k-lux light...)

Bright and Beautiful, but Glitchy On/Off Mechanism
The pros: This light is SO bright and powerful. It's nicely designed to collapse down and open back up. It made an ENORMOUS difference in my energy level and quickly became an absolutely necessary part of my day. It did not give me migraines, unlike some other lights I have used (though, to be fair, I only aimed it directly at myself a few times; since I am prone to migraines, I've been using it pointing away from me per my doctor's suggestion - however, other light therapy lights have brought on migraines with a single use of it aimed directly at myself, and I was able to use this one that way several times). It's bright, it's cute, it's easy to bring along. The con: The on/off switch mechanism is completely perplexing to me. I honestly still don't understand whether you're supposed to have to push on the back on the light, or just touch there to turn it on, because I usually had to manhandle it, coax it, poke it, turn it side to side, and talk to it before it would turn on. From day one, that mechanism was glitchy: it wouldn't turn on at all, and then finally it would, and then from time to time it would start cycling itself through its power settings without me touching or moving it at all, shutting itself off and turning back on randomly. I have seen other reviews complaining of this same problem, so I don't think it was an isolated incident. Eventually, the lamp just stopped turning on altogether, at which point now I'll be returning it for a replacement. The lamp is so good I'm willing to give it another go and see if the next one works better.

Very impressed!
This week made device is very easy to use and incredibly bright. The cord is a nice design. Itโs flat and very easy fold to the right size and comes with a Velcro tie with the company logo so Iโll always know which cord goes with the light box. Iโve suffered from SAD since I was a teenager and look forward to trying this. I feel better in the winter in bright days and well lit rooms so Iโm expecting this little powerhouse of bright light will be very effective. Iโve used larger light boxes and it was an inconvenient while this little one easily sits by my computer or the coffee table while I use my phone. The instructions say the light should be placed to the side which makes itโs very easy to do something else and forget that Iโm doing light therapy. My neighbor said this helped her immensely so I had to give it a try! After using the light for a few days it was easier to get up in the mornings. After two weeks of using the light in the morning 30-45 minutes while reading in bed I am not bothered at all by the grey winter days. Iโm not missing summer and have more energy. I place the light about 8 to 12 inches on my bedside table at eye level so itโs shining into the side of my eyes while I read on my back looking forward and not directly at the light.

Small but MIGHTY!
I was so excited to get this Therapy Light! I knew it was going to be small enough to use on my desk top...but I wondered if it would still be effective. Well wonder no more! I have only used it twice at the time of this review, but I have noticed a small difference already. I am heading out of town this weekend, and am very happy this will be folding up and coming with me! I don't want to miss a single day of light therapy. The size of this light is roughly the size of a deck of cards...1 1/4 actually! But more than able to slip into a purse, overnight bag, lunch box, etc. I am using light therapy for crashed adrenal glands...so I need to use it EVERY DAY! There are 3 settings, but I am on the lowest setting right now...I am a beginner. I will update this review after a few weeks on light therapy and let you know how the light is working out. Update: 1 full week of light therapy and I am full of life! This light is just right for my needs. I place it on my desk on the left side for half and hour then move it to the right side for the last half hour. So compact and easy to work with...long gone are the days of big lights that were almost the size of a desk! Customer Service: I emailed the company about a tiny rattle in my lamp. Kind of like a tiny piece of something broke off during shipping. The lamp is still working, but I feared it may stop in the near future it a part is broken off inside. I was more curious about the return/exchange policy. Well the company has customer service that is as GREAT as their products! They have offered to ship me a new lamp...even though mine is still working. Now that is how a company is and stays SUCCESSFUL!! I will definitely be recommending Circadian Optics to anyone who needs light therapy!

Works well
It's a small and portable light therapy light. Folds well and is pretty bright. Only thing I don't like is it's micro USB instead of USB type c, but not a huge deal

Compact size, easy to store
Great little lamp, with 3 light levels. Sits on my armchair perfectly. But the end of the cord broke so had to buy a new one , so took off one star, but itโs still a 5* product.
