The USB signal integrity is weak. That's atypical for Cable Matters. 3. The copper for the 5v lines in the cable has too much resistance, meaning the camera isn't getting 5v. The latter two are usually unlikely the problem with Cable Matters cables. Their cables are usually pretty stiff compared to the similar low-priced competition and this one is no exception. The reason for this is that you can pick any two: Low price, good electrical performance, and flexible. And on that last point there's only so much you can do, especially for an extension cable. I'm going to exchange this cable. I won't remove this review (that ain't right), but I will update it with the replacement cable's performance when it arrives in a couple of days. _NEVER_ judge a company by a defective product, give them a chance to make it right.
