American Weigh Scales has become an absolute game-changer in my baking journey, and I can't help but share my AMAZING experience with their exceptional product. Let me tell you, this scale is not just a kitchen tool; it's a culinary companion that has elevated my baking to a whole new level. Literally as soon as the moment I unboxed it, I was impressed by the sleek design and modern aesthetic. The attention to detail in both form and function is evident, making it a standout addition to my kitchen. The user-friendly interface made me feel like a pro from the kitchen hahaha, and the CONVIENENT controls meant I spent less time figuring out the scale and more time focusing on my passion for baking. ANOTHER THING the precision is literally the best thing ever omg! I have tried the same amoumts of ingredients on different scales and gotten different amounts all the time, but with AWS there is a great consistency with their precision. So haha trust me when I say this scale will literally be a life saver!

This scale is perfect for my purposes. It can weigh items from 1/10th of gram to 1,000 grams and it's accuracy is within 1/10 of a gram (I tested this with most weights testing perfectly). So unless your weighing precious metals, I don't see how you could measure anything with more mass (may not fit on the weighing plate and give an inaccurate weight), but less weigh as the scales weighing plate is pretty small (2 1/5 inches X 3 inches), but for my purposes the size is perfect. The build seems very solid, easy to read digital screen (it's lighted), has the Tare function and a very clean look to the scale. I can't comment on Battery life as I haven't had it long enough to give an accurate description of the battery life. Overall I'm very happy with my purchase and the speed at which it arrived. Definitely worth the price and one I would suggest buying for your smaller weighing jobs, depending on the mass of the objects or product you're weighing. Hope this helps. Thanks.. :)

Update: I've dropped it, flooded it with fluids and it still works and it's still accurate. Just checked it with my standard calibration weight. The one thing I haven't done is put a weight that's too heavy on it. It's hard to do with such a small scale. 5 stars for 5 years!End update.Hey, this will weigh up to 1 kilo (or 2.2 lbs) which is good enough for most kitchen applications. The price was just so good! The jump to scales that could handle higher weights wasn't worth it.I got the 500 gm calibration weight and felt foolish ordering it because the scale was right on the money.The tare is awesome! Not every kitchen scale has this and it's a terrible pain subtracting the weight of the container from the total.Just be aware this scale has a tiny tiny footprint - 3.9 x 5.8 x 1 inches - it fits in your pocket. Not so good for large (and yet light) items. It's best for measuring spices, a cup of flour or sugar. This scale is great for measuring out small quantities very accurately. For example, they sold me tetracycline in packages for a 20 gallon tank. Well, guess what, I have a 3/4 gallon tank. Good way to kill my ailing fish trying to eyeball 1/20 minus 1/4 of assorted heap sizes. Also good for measuring out tea and getting a consistent cup.

I haven't had any of the problems--with batteries or anything else--that a few other reviewers posted. I'm absolutely delighted with this scale. I bought it to weigh yarn, and I've found it to be very useful and accurate for that. The only inconvenience is that the weighing surface is small for my purposes. That's not a fair criticism of the product, since it's intended for small objects like coins. You can plop a ball of yarn on it, no problem. But if you want to weigh a hank of yarn, a sweater, or what have you, you have to put your yarn in something first (either a plastic bowl or atop a drinking glass, so as not to get in the way of the display). Fortunately, there's a tare button, so you don't have to weigh the bowl first and subtract its weight.The scale is also small and light enough to slip into my knitting bag. The operation of it is quite simple: hit the on button, wait to see 0.0, then put your yarn on it, making sure all the weight is directly above the weighing surface. The display is a nice bright blue and very easy to read.Did I mention the price? This scale is far less expensive than most kitchen scales (about half), and it measures in tenths of grams rather than only in grams, which is important when measuring small amounts of yarn.

nice little scale, not perfect but close enough, unless you are looking for exact perfection then this might not be for you, but + or - a few tenths of milligram than this will do just fine. Some people will be picky, but what I use it for it does just fine. sometimes adjust + or - to original weight, but nothing crazy or to far off. Usually dead on to original measurement. may adjust = or - a tenth but usually gets back to original after a few seconds. I use to measure with confidence that it gets me within decent measurements. Like i said if you are trying to get down to tenths or hundreds then maybe another scale may be required, for regular smoke this works just fine. Will adjust properly if you are light or heavy in weight. no complaints, great pocket scale, AAA batteries so easy to replace if needed, needs a weight to be calibrated properly, but works just fine out of box, nickle measurement showed properly on first try and maintains true to original. so no complaints. I would definitely buy again without hesitation. now if you are trying to do science measurements then maybe not for you, but everyday regular use, just fine. no complaints, works fine every time, light is bright, numbers are large. buy with confidence it will meet your needs on a daily or regular basis. if you are really picky, then look elsewhere. Measures to what i buy. would buy again without hesitation. Price is fair. built in cover works well. no issues, instruction are built into lid if you need to make adjustment, haven't had the need, so happy with purchase.
