Yes they are. And mine came damaged with a large hole in it, so it was returned and not re-ordered.

Is it for HO scale trains

The Woodland Scenics C1321 can be used for O or HO gauge. For O gauge it is a small rocky hill. For HO it is a large rocky hill.

What is the size of this item?

The mound is 14" L x 7"w x 2 3/4" h it is the smaller of two sizes. We love it. We have made the top of it a city park with park benches, fire place, and a shelter area with bathrooms. We put small 1 1/2" and 1" trees on it and shrubs. It looks great! We give it 5 stars.
